I recently purchased an Audioengine B1 Bluetooth receiver. I purchased it in order to allow me to use my iPhone off of the headphone cable running under the floor into my receiver, which then sends the audio signal into my FM transmitter to my hearing aids. I am having some issues with this.
1. Ringers and Alarms do not make any noise.
2. When I make a phone call, the microphone does not work. I can hear the person on the other end, but he cannot hear me.
And when I disconnected from the AudioEngine, some things had changed on my iPhone.

My volume on my alarm is low in iOS 9.1. Has anybody else noticed this. I turned up the ringer volume to 30%, but no improvement. I made sure sound check was off in the music settings.

I used the Health app to set up my sleep schedule.
Before the alarm goes off, VoiceOver will yell out the word "ALARM!" which can be quite jarring especially for alarm sounds that start soft and get louder.
Does anyone know how to not get VoiceOver to speak before the alarm sound goes off?

Hello, I have a question I am considering purchasing a new security system from front point.com. I believe the securities company is actually called frontpoint security.com.
From what I understand, they use alarm.com so that you can access control and set up your alarm system through the Internet on application on your iPhone. Does anyone use this application successfully with voiceover? And if so, how accessible do you think it is?

Hi all,
I posted a while ago, but don't think it went through so posting again.
I have a problem since I've updated to IOS 10 on my 6S, and that is that my alarm hasn't always gone off, so I assumed. After doing some tests while fully awake, I note that the alarm is quiet when phone is muted, and when unmuted, it has worked once at normal volume.
However, I had word on another list that others have had issues with the alarm going quiet when VO is turned on, so I shall try leaving VO off until this issue is fixed, so, yes, I smell possible bug here.

Hi all, in OS X Yosemite when one downloads the Alex voice, he comes in two flavours. Standard and Enhanced quality.
I was just wondering, in terms of the sound, can anyone explain the differences between these two quality versions besides the file size of the enhanced quality being larger than standard.

Ever since I updated iOS 17, Alex has been mispronouncing a couple words. I don’t know if this problem persist with other voices, since Alex is pretty much the voice I use all the time. Some of the words he mispronounces include adventure (he pronounces it like add venture) and WiFi (says it like wee-fi.) I'm sure there are others, but that's what I remember off the top of my head. Is anyone else having this problem?

I updated to iOS 16 today, and haven't had any problems with it so far. But I noticed right away that Alex, my preferred voice for voiceover, sounds weird. He's saying quite a few words in a really odd way that makes him sound a lot less natural. The word button is a glaring example of this. Does anyone else agree?

Hi all,
I apologize if this was brought up before but I can't find anything regarding this issue. I haven't used Alex on my phone do to the space he takes up but I did try him out yesterday. A friend told me about this and I noticed this as well. Alex will sometimes spell out the name of an item instead of saying it. Like for example the app navigon on my phone he spells it out. n a v I g o n. Is there a way to fix this or is this normal behavior?

I am using ios 16.6. I've noticed with the alex voice sometimes it will switch to samantha compaq for a second and then go back to alex. Is this a bug?

Hello.
When playing certain games or using certain apps with VoiceOver, Alex reads some information very slowly. I typically have VoiceOver speech rate between 75 and 90%, and the speech rate in the spoken content screen is around 80%.
This does not happen with any other voices. Does anyone have a solution?

Is anyone else having issues with the alex voice suddenly going silent? I've been noticing this for a while I want to say since IOS16? I can turn vo off and back on to fix it. This is an SE2022.

Hello all,
Is it possible to get the Alex voice to read out words in all caps? Right now all he does is spell them out and it usually sounds like gibberish when he does. This is the biggest reason I won't use Alex as my primary voice.

Is there anyway possible to have alex automatically slow down when he's reading a number? An example would be a 2 step verification code or an authentication code. I know with the vocalizer voices they tend to read numbers at a slower rate automatically, not sure if this is a function within the synthisizer itself. Alex use to be my main voice, not sure if it's me or not but I'm finding him harder and harder to understand.

I prefer the Oliver and Tessa voices for use on my iPhone 6S. From time to time I discovered among the list of voices, that the Alex voice installed itself although I deleted the 800MB file every time. Is there a way to stop this permanently.
