A while back, an app developer posted a request for ideas. He wanted to know what sort of apps blind users were desiring. At the time, I had no ideas; I was still exploring the vast world of apps. But today, I have one. If such an app exists already, please reply. If you like this idea, reply as well. If you know an app developer, please forward my post. I struggle with the interfaces for both Google groups and Yahoo groups. Yet I am a member of many internet mailing lists on each. And I hate clogging up my inbox with all the traffic they generate.

Alright, so I'll do my best to try and explain what I mean with the topic. I occasionally have friends and family who will, every so often, ask to borrow money. So far, I've resorted to using an Excel sheet to input information on who the loan was for, the date it was requested and what type of loan it was.

I also track the date and amount when a payment is made, and have a extra "Comment" column if I need to insert additional information regarding a payment.

I am in a desperate search for iPad apps that work well with VoiceOver accessability for a blind user of a Humanware Brailliant. He is a fifth grader, who finally got access to the internet like his classmates, but the websites that they use are not very compatable with VoiceOver, and he is left to feel frustrated. Our IT person suggested finding some apps. Could you recommend some iPad apps that work really good with VoiceOver.

Thank you!

Hi,
I'm looking for an accessible iOs app that will allow me to create multiple choice, short answer, true or false, and matching quizzes and share them via email or some other means of communication.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi guys!
Recently, I incountered situations that I needed to send a piece of text to someone through my phone. However, the text was on my PC, and because of this, I couldn'd transfer the text from my PC to my iPhone. So I used a word document instead, but that also took some time.
So, are there any apps that would allow for the iPhone and PC to "communicate" with each other? I paste a text into the computer, and then the phone gets it, and I can use on the phone?
Are there such apps out there?
Many thanks!

Hi everyone,
I am a new member so please let me know if this question is in the wrong place, but I am looking for iOS apps that are like clubhouse. If there aren't any, are there any social apps that are popular among the blind/visually impaired? Thank you in advance for your replies and happy Holidays!

Alright, so I've been trying to find out how to proceed with this and can't seem to find any way of deleting purchased ringtones from my iPhone.

Hello,

I need some assistance using the iPhone's camera. I do not know how to aim it or do anything to make it take an accurate picture. This causes me a significant problem in many apps including FaceTime, Crowdvis and KNFB Reader. I am congenitally blind and have no usable vision for the iPhone. I am not spatial and do not form pictures in my mind.

Thank you

I am the developer of Larkwire, an app that birders use to learn to identify bird sounds. I have just added VoiceOver accessibility support to the app and need beta testers.

The app uses a sequence of games to gradually teach you which sounds go with which species. If you have an interest in learning to identify which birds you're hearing, you'll love Larkwire. I know the accessibility support in this beta release isn't perfect, but with your help, I'll make it better!

Hey guys, I just created a discord server in order to get more Beta testers for Voice!

For those of you who don't know, Voice is an OCR application that I've posted here just a few days ago: https://www.applevis.com/forum/ios-ipados/introducing-voice-ocr-60-massive-update-revolutionary-new-features

Hi all:
I've noticed the below for some time, but would like some confirmation from others before I finalize and submit a bug report to Apple.
steps for duplication:
1; set your typing mode to direct touch typing in the rotor.
2; place yourself in an app with a text field you can enter text. Double-tap the edit field so the keyboard is on screen.
3; hold down the home button to evoke Siri.
I've never gotten this to successfully work. I need to exit the app where the keyboard appears in order to get Siri back..

Hi All I’m shortly to be living on my own for the first time since becoming blind 10 years ago (Just finishing off the final bits of divorce and house move then will be blindly entering a new chapter!) Was just wondering if anyone had any good recommendations for cooking apps that I can use on my iPhone to teach cooking tips and recipes? Especially if anything that teaches timings so know when certain food types cooked etc? Cheers for any help folks can offer Pete

Hi,

I work on the development of Audiofy - an iOS app that can read articles you find online. I would love to hear your input on how it could be improved and made more accessible. It would also be great if some kind sould would be willing to discuss these issues over skype. If you're up for that, I am available at your convenience. If not, any written feedback would also be greatly appreciated.

Hi all,

Hope someone can help us. We have an app and currently trying to understand Colour Blind users' preferences in order to bring a comfortable experience to other platforms.

Apart from Colour Filters in your iOS Settings, what other settings would you usually turn on in combination?

E.g:
- Invert Colours
- Reduce White Point
- Darken Colours
etc.

Thank you in advanced,
Terenze

Hi. Now that FlickType no longer works, I'm looking for something similar, something that will allow me to type faster without having to drag-and-lift as I do on the conventional IOS kbd. Can anybody help?

Hello,

Can anyone recommend a GPS app that will work well on a college campus primarily made up of winding, off-street sidewalks? I would like something with functionality similar to wha tis being advertised in the trekker Breeze Plus where accurate pins can be dropped easily along a route and at various landmarks such as building entrances. Has anyone used something for this or a similar purpose that they would recommend? Thanks!

Jana

So I have found many apps that do this, but so far none that are accessible. The scenario is common for sighted folks. They can't remember where they parked their car. The app lets them "bookmark" a location and return to it with breadcrumbs later. It uses the GPS, but not a map. You can see many apps to solve this problem. I thought the MyWay app would do this, but it turns out it won't run on iPAD or iPOD Touch because it requires the compass.
