I'm glad to post my review and thoughts about iOS 7.1 accessibility features.
Apple has officially released the final version of iOS 7.1 today and the AppleVis team posted a blog this evening about the accessibility changes and improvements for Voiceover users. Unfortunately this release came out with bad impressions and negative feedback from Arab VoiceOver users. The Arabic compact voice quality (Tariq) has improved a lot.

like many of you, i just got my iPhone five this morning from my local sprint store. I braved the lines at seven am this morning to get one when the store opened at eight am. here are my thoughts after having been able to use it for a few hours sense this early morning. 1. I absolutely love how much faster voiceover seems to run on the five verses my 4s. 2. apps seem to load much quicker, and this phone works so much easier over wifi networks. 3. I am very impressed with how much smoother and faster siri answers questions, or does simple tasks over the 4s.

Hello: I'd like to give some thoughts on Braille screen input for IOS8.
firstly, I'd like to commend Apple on a wonder job for making this a global way of typing for us.
I personally wasn't ever able to get any of the other braille input applications for IOS to function good for me.
I sat down last night and told myself that sense fleksy isn't working well currently,, I need a much faster way to input text reliably.
I decided to really sit down and check out this new
braille input method..
Now for my thoughts on it.

I just wanted to take a second to talk about Facebook dating I recently decided to sign up for Facebook dating was curious on its accessibility and I found it to be very accessible when being able to set up my own profile without sighted help which I was thrilled about but when it came to adding my hobbies that is where it came not accessible I found myself using the screen Recognition a lot to be able to save anything it would just say save disabled on my profile as well for matching and with people which is the heart of Facebook dating and I was able to save my about me just

With Summer coming to an end and Fall just around the corner, many college students are gearing up for a new year of academic challenges and exciting learning experiences. We have all been hearing about some of the great new apps like KNFB Mobile to be released this Fall and we are holding our breath in hopeful anticipation for iOS 8 to come out. But, let's talk about some of the current apps that may be helpful in your upcoming classes and study sessions. I am a student myself, and these are the apps I find most helpful.

This has happened in the past but I am extremely confused. My phone was on, and I was using it and it suddenly switched. I am very confused, and I would really like to change the voice back as it's my favourite one.
Can someone explain this, has it happened to anyone else? And is there a fix?

I have made my youtube blog and this took some tries. Now the problem is that once again, the youtube app takes over one gigabyte and I often have had to reinstall the app to get rid of this problem. Is there a better way`? I am having enough with this reinstalling thing.

Does anyone know if the weather app, MyWarn, is accessible? This app has been recommended to me by some sighted friends because it will notify you audibly about severe weather, such as tornadoes. But I don't want to pay for it if it's not accessible.

Hello, I have MyWay Pro on my iPhone13. It is a navigation app written by the Swiss Society for the Blind which allows you to set way points and then follow these way points as a route. In the last few months though it has changed and I need to contact their technical support but I cannot find any suitable links or email addresses which get a response.

Subject says it all.
When I use to ask Siri to name that song, it use to point me to apple music, now it points me to the iTunes store.
Don't I get some choise?
I'm not sure if this latest update is the cause of it or if apple did something at their end or even if there is some sort of setting I can change to get it back to the way I had it previously.
Any ideas?

Using IPhone SE and IOS 18.
Nat West Bank released an update to their app a week ago.
When I've logged into the app I see my list of accounts.
However, when I perform a one finger double tap on the account I wish to view nothing happens.
I've tried this on another SE running IOS 18 and the same happens.
Ring the bank I hear you say!
I did this and they told me that after the latest update they are aware of problems with Voice Over.

I have noted in Jaws that a voice called Nathan is available. as it is a nuance voice, is their a reason why Alison, eva, samamtha, tom etc. are available but not the Nathan voice? I like it.

Around a week ago I was browsing through my gmail account using the native iOS app and somehow managed to hit the "compose" button by accident, which of course started a draft email. I deleted the draft by double-tapping the "cancel" button and confirming the deletion, but noticed after returning to my inbox that I still apparently had a draft in progress. Repeating the above actions accomplished nothing, so I went into the "drafts" folder and manually deleted the email.

Hi All, has anyone come across a bug when using the maps app. Basically, when you enter a destination you get a number of route options. So you get the quickest route then a couple of alternative routes for driving. The issue is you can click on the route to get detailed directions. However, I can only check the original route out. If I try and look at any alternative routes the directions are the ones from the first route. There doesn't seem to be a way of checking directions for any alternatives. Just checking if this was me or an issue for Apple to be made aware of.

Can anyone confirm if Voiceover works with the native reminders ios app? If so how does it work? I've set up a few reminders as tests and I never get VO to remind me. I assumed even on the locked screen when a reminder was due VO would speak it or at least let you know you have a reminder. Or have I missed something. Whatever, nothing ever happens so I maybe doing something wrong. Any advice thoughts appreciated. iOS 11.4 iPhone 8.

Sarcastic intro aside, I'd like to know your thoughts and experiences with apps that have been developed natively for iPhone using Apple's development tools versus apps that embed websites in the app. For this, I don't mean using a Safari shortcut on YOUR home screen. I'm talking about downloading an app from the App Store.
