Hi. I locked myself out of an iPod 5 and an iPhone 3GS by entering too meny wrong passcodes. Then it said device is disabled connect to iTunes. So I did that 1 device at a time and iTunes then told me to unlock to continue. I could not do that because the device did not even notice that I had connected to iTunes so it said it was disabled. So then I put it in dfu or recovery mode or whatever and then it let me start a restore, but would not finish.
I gave my old iPod touch fifth-generation to a friend a while back. either her or one of her sons got locked out of the device because they entered the wrong password and we are trying to get it back up and running again. The message on the screen says iPod disabled connect to iTunes. The problem is that my MacBook Pro is now running Catalina and I don't think it will recognize the iPod touch fifth-generation because the iPod is too old. it's a 128 gig unit and my friend wants to use it so I hope that we can get it running again. Please help.
Hey,
Since updating to ios 15 which I regret. I am getting a much more pronounced click when I get a notification on a locked screen which is annoying the hell out of me. To the point where at night I need to either turn voice over off or put the phone on do not disturb. I never had this issue until I did the 15 update. Does anyone know what I can do? Again, a loud click as the screen unlocks then it says " one new notification" and the screen locks again.
I hate this update.
Hi all,
just wondering, is it possible to lock apps & services even apart from the screen lock feature. Quite often the phone reads all the incoming watsapp messages smses as they tricle in. To me it is more of a security risk. Pleae help. Using an iphone6.
Forgive new iPhone user, couldn't find where to post "how to" questions. I have tried to lock in portrait mode by sliding right when the app switcher items are shown, but nothing happens. I'm a blind user so use VO all the time. Is there an option using a mini bluetooth keyboard? Also I have many questions about keyboard commands such as double tap with 2 fingers, 3 finger swipe and many others with a bluetooth keyboard, and need tips to make the use of my iPhone as quick as was my use of my Nokia E72. Where can I post these questions please? Thanks. Kate.
I have an iPad mini, gen 5. I need to lock the portrait view in place. I know someone told us how to do it several years ago, but I can’t find the post. Thanks for the help.
Since the release of 8.3, I have run into an occasional problem of not being able to lock the screen by way of depressing the power button quickly. It doesn't occur often but when it does, it appears the only resolve is to power down the iPhone. Even if you let the phone sit for the allotted time wherein it would auto-lock, it doesn't. I have not heard of many having this issue but another friend of mine has had it occur also. Thanks.
I am trying to help a friend with her iPhone. She recently purchased an iPhone 6SE. We were trying to lock her screen orientation to "Portrait," by going to the Control Center, but the option wasn't there. Does anyone know if this has recently been changed? If so, how do we fix it?
Warmly,
Tammie and Vallejo

Just got my iPhone 5 yesterday, and I'm loving it! Just one question: When walking and using GPS, should I lock my screen? If I do so, will GPS still work? I'm using iMove, but I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

hi all
Just wondering, apart from double tap and hold, and then slide up, is there a better way to lock the recording button for audio messages in i-message? Thanks in advance if anyone knows, really appreciate any responses
After updating to 13, I have been noticing that notification on the lockscreen stays for some more time after it is cleared. Initially, I thought it's double notification or clearing notification not working, but actually after some time or after locking and then waking up the screen it goes away. I don't know whether visually also the notification remains there for some time, or it is VoiceOVER misreporting.
Hello all. I am trying to log in to my Xumo account using the iOS app so that the favorites I have on my Xumo Stream Box will hopefully sync over. However, I cannot find a place to enter my credentials. This app seems to be a bear as far as accessibility goes. If you have used this app before and logged in with it, where did you go and how did you get there? I thought the "For You" tab was the right one but I saw no place to log in on it. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Hi all. I'm geting frustrated with face ID. On one hand it doesn't always seem to authenticate. I also find myself hearing the unlock click, but still swiping up to unlock. I had thought after the click, it'd unlock. I have two hotel apps that even though I know my password is correct, it won't let me in. Hillton honors and marriot. Has anyone else had this? Thanks.
Hello, I wondered if anyone has a walk-through for Logic pro for iPad. I’ve been getting grips with it, but one thing I can’t do is replace an instrument on the track, for example, if I have a piano on a track and I want to replace it with a violin. I can create a new track using the new instrument to be replaced using VoiceOver. How would I just replacing existing track? I know it’s possible i’ve seen sighted people do it
Hi all,
I currently work in a position that requires me to use LogMeIn and do a lot of remote machine administration. I'm wondering how much interest there would be in me writing up a guide to help other people in similar positions? Rest assured, this is possible to do thanks to the LogMeIn iOS app.
My search hasn't turned up any guides or other information about doing this kind of thing nonvisually. If I were to make such a guide, would it be useful to anyone?
I've noticed since way back when I can't remember what version this started my voiceover will sometimes talk over a text audio message or a voicemail. The 2 finger single tap will not work in this case. Does anyone have a work around for this? It's annoying having to replay a voicemail or a text audio message do to this.
