Hi, I've been thinking about using key base to store and share files because it gives you a lot more space than dropbox or any other storage platform. Does anyone know if the app is accessible on IPad OS?
iOS and iPadOS
When I am entering email I always get key echo even though I have turned off both software and hardware echo. Does anybody else have this problem? And even as I type this message I am getting key echo although not consistently. When I called apple accessibility their answer is screen sharing so that we can make sure it is really off. I don't have wireless at home because I don't use that much data but that seems to be their only answer. We need to do screen sharing. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jim
I'm using the latest version of iOS 13 on an SE2 which I just got a week ago. I noticed that even though I have key repeat turned on, it does not work. I was working with Apple Support as we tried different things including unpairing and repairing blue tooth connection to my apple wireless keyboard, turning on and off slide to type, restarting phone. WE then found that I have to shut off Voiceover in order for key repeat to work, which is not good. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
Hello, everyone. I updated my iPhone SE 2016 to IOS 15 when it was released, and I have been having nothing but problems ever since. I normally accomplish everything via my external qwerty keyboard and Orbit Writer. Usually, things are displayed in a linear fashion, from apps on the homescreen to the controls in various apps themselves. So I would start at the left and end at the right. Now, certain apps are all over the place.
What are the best third party keyboard applications that any of you folks are using in order to type quickly and accurately?
I have been using flick type keyboard for the past few years as it allows me to type on my iPhone with almost the same typing speed as my sighted friends.
Unfortunately flick type keyboard is stopping all development due to issues they are facing with the App Store.
I have tried Fleksy keyboard, however it is no where near as fast or as accurate as Flick Type was. Also Fleksy is not specifically designed for visually impaired users.
Hi, is there a keyboard command to check battery status? I would be using a blue tooth keyboard.

I am in search of a list of commands to edit on an iPhone? Is this even possible? I ask because when I tried to use ctrl+a it did not work, although it now occurs to me I might have been supposed to use command a. Anyway, is there a list of keyboard editing commands for iOS? I tried to search, but I didn't see a guide that looked like what I was after.
Thank you.
Hi.
Does any of you have the files with all keyboard and braille commands for ios?
There is a guide with a link to access lab, but that site is no longer there.

I am almost entirely happy with how Zoom works with screen readers, but I have one complaint.
W/the new IOS 8 update, there are some changes to the functioning of the keyboard of which folks might wish to be aware.
Hi all,
I just updated my iPhone XR to iOS 13. I've disabled the haptic feedback for VoiceOver, but when I try use the native iOS keyboard, I'm still getting haptic feedback for every letter entered, and every time I move my finger around the keyboard when using slide to type. Any way to disable the haptic for this?
Thanks in advance.
I have a bluetooth keyboard in Swedish and wonder what the command for switching between apps in split view is? I know there is one because it works on my friend's english keyboard.
Hey folks,
I'm having this problem.
Lately when I need to type a text my screen keyboard is not available with VO.
I am able to activate the edit box, and if I flick to the right I can get to the dictate button and when I tap to finish it sends the text automatically. But the keyboard doesn't appear.
I find that if I turn off bluetooth, then the screen keyboard does appear, but that's not a viable option for me now since I'm using my Meta Glasses as a BT headset a lot of the time.
Hi all
I have an Iphone 4s and when I try to type a txt message I find the keyboard is set out in a straightline rather than the normal keyboard. this is how voice over reads it out to me but I have been informed that visually the keyboard is set out as normal. this is driving me mad so would value all help.
Cheers
These days I discovered I can make a tom of stuff with the native shortcuts app and then started creating voiceover keyboard shortcuts for some of the most useful ones, like opening the apps I use most.
After created, keyboard shortcuts cannot be removed though, they don’t even appear as keyboard shortcuts when you select one under the Siri Shortcuts category. Is anyone else facing this bug? Is there any workaround?
I have a blind persion with other disabilities that is using her iPad with a bluetooth keyboard. She is not good at fine movement. Is there a keyboard shortcut for Siri? She used Type To Siri. She doesn¨’t talk. She is really good at learning and I have come far to help her.
