iOS and iPadOS

Have a great day everybody. The classic bug of the mail app in which the focus jumps around when you delete emails happens to some people and not to others. Some people report that it's fixed on 14.1 but according to reports in the 14.1 bug list, the bug still happens for some. My question is: to those people that it happens, did anyone tried another mail app to see if the bug is still present? I am hesitant to try since the last time I used a mail app other than the default mail app, my mail folders where kind of screwed up.

Hello all! I have a couple of questions about the Voice Dream reader app. I just downloaded it a few minutes ago, and I can’t wait to start playing around with it! I do have a couple of questions. And I may have some more over the next few days as I start learning how to use it. So please forgive me. LOL

Has anyone tried iFit accessories for Preform ellipticals and treadmills? While I have not problems with simply resorting to the standard labeling of various function buttons, I thought it would be kind of cool to use the iFit training system and load up different workouts. If not, anyone know of any alternatives?

Griffin's FM receiver, plugged into the dock connector, makes your iDevice into a radio. Great idea but... Griffin's own iFM app (controlling the radio) is not accessible at all. Thankfully, Wolfgang V., a German fellow, posted a work-around in a mailing list. This works but is complex and involves plugging the receiver out and in as well as switching VoiceOver and the iPod app on and off while iFM is running.

Hello all. I am from New Zealand. I have the IHeart Radio App on my IPhone 5 and until a few months ago could use it perfectly. When I updated to IOS 8.4 for some reason I was logged out of my IHeart Radio App. I now can not get back into it. When I double tap on Already have an account button, I am put into a loop where I am asked to accept the terms and conditions but if I double tap on this, I just am put continuely in the loop, getting nowhere. I have been writing to the IHeart radio help people, but I feel as though they don't understand what I am saying.

Hi everyone. I remember reading a post on here a while back saying that iHeartRadio had accessibility issues. I had already had it on my phone and it was mostly accessable. The only things I found that wasn't very accessible was the alarm clock, sleep timer and the settings. I later found out they were there but it was buttons Voiceover couldn't read so all the buttons would do was click. And even if you did tap the buttons, they still weren't very accessible. Until now. Today a new update came out and i updated then opened iHeartRadio and started going to my stations.

Here is a tweet I received from the makers of IM+, that's IM plus for those whose screen readers are set to read no punctuation. Happy New Year! We will be giving away 10 promocodes for IM+ Pro/iOS today. Please follow and RT to win! You can follow @implus, that's at implus, from your Twitter account, whether that would be directly on the web or through a third party client like the official app. Good luck!

Supposedly the latest reCaptcha should detect when a screen reader is used and skip the solving process. It appears to be hit and miss.

On one website, using my iPhone, it seemed to work but then the dreaded error message that the system was busy, 'please try again later'. The problem is, I had to enter my information again when did try again later and have yet to to get past the captcha.

Is there any *legal* drive to ban the use of captchas and switch to two-step verification? Seriously, this has to happen.

Is there a browser extension I can get for safari or one of the other web browsers for iOS that will let me focus on a image or picture on a website, and then send it to a service and have it described? There is a captcha I am trying to get past which requires me to pick two pictures of a hamburger or food items out of 8 or 10 pictures and there is no way I can do it. I am trying to watched some dubbed anime videos on the website kissanime.ru. This site sometimes brings up scam website tabs, but I just ignore them and switch back to the main website tab.

Hi all!

I am curious about something. It has to do with the image disscription feature in ios. 11.

I know that captchas can be quite annoying!! I've been thinking about this one off and on. Does Vo. disscription read captchas? I know that not all of them can be read, but I was wondering if anyone has played with this and tried it? I'm just curious.

In what's app, when I tap to play a person's message, voiceover reads out "person, actions available".
This is quite annoying as it steps on the first couple seconds of their message, causing me to have to turn speech off then back on before and after playing each message.
I've gone into settings and turned scene descriptions off under voiceover verbosity, but no change.
Is there any way to have it not read aloud what seems to be a description of the person's avatar when I play a voice message in what's app?

Hi everyone, subject line is pretty accurate. Just a bit ago I was reading an email sent by a member of the Bible study group which I have been attending with a neighbor. This email contains an image which I couldn't get my Mac to identify, so I tried on my phone and low and behold it displayed properly in Image Explorer. It happens to be text only, but here's my question. How come Image Explorer isn't available for everything like that? I thought I'd have to run this through an app such as Seeing AI, but I was pleasantly surprised.

I’m looking for apps or websites where I can generate and refine images. Ones that either aren't behind a paywall or the pay is not that much. Some apps I have tried blurred out the faces of the people I was trying to generate, which defeated the purpose of trying to create the avatar.

Hi everyone,

In iOS 17.0.1. VO doesn’t describe images for me anymore. Is anyone else having this problem?

Thanks

This is old, but just came across this:
"Exploring images with VoiceOver: Explore people, objects, text, and tables within images in more detail with VoiceOver. Navigate receipts and nutrition
label values intelligently in logical order."

In recent days, we've been getting input from some of our users that the scanning and capture is blazing fast ("better than laser") on the iPhone 6 with iOS9.

I was discussing this with one of the developer support folks at Apple and she mentioned to me that one of the major changes in the 6 (and one that was further enhanced with the new OS) is that it has image stabilization and she thought that might well be a factor, particularly if the people who were using the phone to scan had hand tremors.

When using VoiceOver and viewing photos on an iPhone you touch the middle of the screen with two fingers and get a description. Where on the iPad is this setting activated? Using iPad Pro with VoiceOver and software version 14.8. Cannot find it anywhere.
