iOS and iPadOS
Hello everyone,
I hope this post finds you well. I was recently reading an article about the Dynamic Island feature on the iPhone 14 Pro and was wondering if anyone can share their thoughts and experiences.
Specifically, I am curious to know if this feature offers any added value to VoiceOver users and how it may enhance our user experience with the iPhone. I would appreciate any thoughts or insights from the community.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to your responses.
I have had two other iPhones, the 4 and 4S. Other than a learning curve, I have had no real problem.
I am now using my third iPhone 6Plus, and the problems have been present in all three phones.
First, I can be typing, browsing, doing about anything on the phone, when suddenly audio will start to play, totally without warning.
Hello,
And what can anybody say about the Yahoo Mail app is there anything to recommend it over the native mail app?
Hi all. I've noticed this behavior in mail also in messages. When you're in the inbox, or list of messages, you are automatically in the Actions value so swiping up or down should land on the delete, option. Say I have three messages, two i want to delete. First one, no problem. second, seems to place the roter in another value. Maybe heading, maybe paragraph, audio ducking, too. Is this something anyone on a newer iPhone can confirm? I wasn't sure if it was just me.
I seem to have a rare problem with dolphin easy reader. It reads for a while and then just stops. Then I cannot access any of the controls or focus any thing on the screen except for the iOS status bar at the top of the screen. Touching anywhere else on the screen only makes the voice over object not found sound.
Tapping EasyReader in the task switcher causes the app to reload and take me to the main menu.
I have no timer set and it is allowed to run in the background.
I'm using the Samantha voice for EasyReader.
To upgrade to an IPhone 15, or 15 pro model, has been the question/struggle for many. Both tout USB C, but the pro, offers the action button, which replaces the familior Silent switch. A short press, will silent the device, long press, runs an action of your choice, including shortcuts. For me, the big teas here, was starting/stopping recording within the Voice memos app.
Hi, is door detection and people detection available on Iphones in Australia? if so, what phones? Thanks
I swear that siri and dictation used one beep to start, one to stop. As of this morning, out of nowhere, it double beeps on Siri and dictation. I kind of want the old sound back. I don't think I can do anything about it, it just struck me as odd. I am not running the beta just the IOs 15.6 or whatever the version is.
I'm using 8.1 on a 4 S after hearing that keyboard bug was supposedly fixed. Well, now we've a new bug, at least I have this bug. I tried this in notes, and found I was typing double characters even though, when I read it back letter by letter with quicknav off, it would appear as single letters I'm typing. But, when reading it back with quicknav on, the letters are doubled.
I tride doing a search in the App Store and am not able to type in accurately what I'm searching for because of the double character situation. Anyone else ggetting this?
Hello,
I don't know if this is a bug that only happens with voiceover enabled or if this is even a bug at all. I've noticed since iOS9 double clicking the home button doesn't always take you to the app switcher. Can anyone else confirm this?
Thanks
Hi, all. I'm not quite sure how to explain this one, but I'm wondering if others are experiencing it. I don't use siri to send text messages, but I am fond of dictation. Ever since iOS 16 was released, I've noticed that any time I use dictation, the text I dictate is entered twice. This used to be an annoying bug that occurred only on Facebook, but now, it happens nearly every time I compose a new text message.
Hi. I hope someone can help with this annoying issue. For nearly 3 weeks, I started recieving the same double or even tripple push notifications at the same time from many apps on my Iphone 6. I uninstalled many apps and then reinstalled, I restarted the phone many times, but nothing changes. Is this any kind of virus? Or something to do with the latest ios? To give an example, I have the Euronews app and on my locked screen, I have the same notification concerning Belgium 3 times.
Occasionally, when I do a double tap on a button to activate it with Voice Over, it will make the VO double tap sound but nothing will happen. If I go to another app and switch back to the current app, it fixes the problem. Does anyone know what may be causing this and how to stop it from happening? I believe it started about 6 months to a year ago. I'm not sure if it happened with IOS 11 or not. It isn't a big deal but it is mildly annoying. I am using an iPhone 6S, running IOS 12.3.
Hi,
Is there a way to have an icon on the home screen that automatically starts a timer that you have preset, then pops up an alert or one of those messages that doesn't interrupt and tells you that time is up, or possibly also speaks a preset message?
Thanks.
Jim
I commented on another conversation about how the one finger double tap and the two finger double tap for starting/stopping dictation is not consistent. Usually in the native mail app or the text messages app, using IOS 16 for the past 1.5 months on an iPhone 13. If I use the one finger double tap on the dictation button at the bottom right hand corner of the screen, sometimes a one finger double tap will stop dictation. Yet other times a two finger double tap, the magic tap, will stop dictation. Once I am reviewing the text that I have just dictated, 95% of the time the text is double.
