Has anyone else noticed a major downgrade in how iOS12 handles contractions and other punctuation in text to speech? I use this feature extensively and noticed right away that it frequently pronounces contractions oddly. "That's" becomes "That S" and anything written with a possessive apostrophes gets similar treatment.

On Windows there's a sound mixer app that lets you adjust the volumes of individual running apps. Is there anything similar available for iOS? I ask because currently I'm on a Zoom call on my iPhone and even with VoiceOver's volume at 100%, the volume of people talking on this Zoom call is so loud I still can't clearly hear VoiceOver. I didn't find any volume control within Zoom itself, surprisingly. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I was wondering if anyone knew how to control peoples phones over facetime. Requesting to control is mostly accessible, but actually controlling it as far as I can tell is not. Does anyone know how to do this with VoiceOver enabled? Or is it just not accessible.

I would like to do software updates on another iPad on my wifi network using my iPad. Can anyone suggest how? My router is an Apple Base Station. Thank you.

I noticed that voiceover interprets dates like 5 May as 5 May, when reading continuously. Is there a way to turn this feature off?

I'm reading a text file that uses characters as separators. So every once in a while VDR will just be going "underscore underscore underscore ..." Is there any way to change that? I added punctuation to the rotor on the off chance that it was using Vo's settings, but it doesn't, which is what I thought. I don't see anything in the app's settings to do it.

Is it possible to change the speed at which SIRI speaks and if so; how?

I was wondering what options exist for performing actions with VoiceOver without touching the phone. I'm specifically wondering if there are any sort of bracelets or other devices that could be used to transmit swipe gestures to the iPhone. I know voice input would be an option in this case (e.g., Voice Control), but what about some sort of physical, wearable device.

Does something like this exist?

I'm testing the iPhone with an external Logitech keyboard, the MX Keys. The truth is that it works very well but there are some things that I do not know if they can not be done, or if I have not been able to find the way.

I wish I could read a Word file line by line or paragraph by paragraph as if I were on the computer. I have tried with Pages, Office and Word applications but there is no way, I can't even read using the rotor, Voiceover only accesses what is visible on the screen, I can't move the document either. I have the last iOS version.

Hi all. Has anyone been able to enable conversation boost which is one of the new features in iOS 15? I found one website that tells you how to enable it but I don’t see any option to enable it. The instructions they give are to simply, while your AirPods Pro are connected, go to control panel, on the volume control do a double tap and hold to bring up more options and there should be an option to enable conversation boost. On that screen I have the option to change the volume but the option to change transparency mode and spatial audio are greyed out.

i was using Recorder HQ to do so, but my sited friends told me that it destroys the photo at all.
so, what are the alternatives on ios? and if using Keynote is easy to do so, how please?

I took a video with my iphone 7, but the .mov file is very big. About 400 mb.
I wanted to save it so I first of all sinked my phone in itunes and then backupt my phone but didn't find the video anywhere.
I want to whatsapp the video I took but whatsapp only sends a small bit of it.
Is there anyway that I can save the video to my pc running win 7 32 bit or convert it to a smaller format so I can send it.

I don't have iTunes on my computer. Found an MP3 ringtone and need to convert it to an M4R format. I know you can't just change the extension. Is there an accessible site for this? Or is there an app? Thanks for your help.

There are times when I need to send an iMessage as a text message, but can’t work out how to do this. Selecting an iMessage once sent, then flicking on it until you get the option of sending as a text message, as one posts suggest doesn’t work as it doesn’t give me the option to send as a text message. Can anyone suggest any way of doing this?

Am depending on my notes app to arrange most of my daily tasks.
but , i need these tasks to be with reminders, 1 way is to create a note containing all my daily tasks and another reminder for each task, but it may not be very easy.
so, am asking if i can convert a note that contains several check items into reminders? in order to use them in a more professional way?
and, are there any advanced shortcuts that can arrange this task for me?
