iOS and iPadOS

Post Date:
Hello all: I am looking for a word-processing app for the iPad. I would like it to be accessible, handle txt/rtf/doc file formats and be easy to save and share among other iOS devices and the Mac via iCloud or Dropbox. I am not looking for a lot of bells and whistles in the app - just the basic stuff like the good old TextEdit. Please share your experiences with your favorite app. Thanks and cheers, mani

Any suggestions for basic word processing apps for the iPhone? Want something I can use to take meeting minutes and compose short documents. Don't need feature rich capabilities. I have Pages and Word downloaded but Word isn't VO friendly and I'm thinking Pages will involve a fairly significant learning curve. Would also like to have the ability to save documents in a docx format. Any suggestions

Hi, i wonder if anyone knows of any word processing apps that are accessible with vo? I am ideally looking for an app where you can create and edit documents, in the same way you can with ms word for instance. I am also looking for an app that would allow me to semd these documents as attachments to people. Many thanks in advance for your help!

Hi all, this is my first post as I've only just joined the Applevis community though I've been using iDevices for over 2 years! I'm looking for an app that will allow me to open a Word or other Office document from Dropbox, edit it and then save it back to Dropbox to access elsewhere. I could do with being able to increase font sizes if needed. Some of the documents I access regularly and might want to add to are Word docs that have password protection, so the app would need to be able to let me input the password to access those too.

I would think that, using Voice Over, one should be able to use a iPhone or iPad with a bluetooth keyboard to do basic word processing. I have tried using Notes, Pages, and Word for this purpose. I have consistently encountered two issues over the years that make this impractical for me. However, I hear of others using IOS devices in this way and so I am wondering if I am missing something.

Greetings.

Is there an accessible word processor option that allows sharing to anyone, even people that don’t use iPhone and that uses commonly-used file formats?

I’m wanting to copy links from a bookmarks folder into a document with clickable links to share with others.

Thanks.

As the topic of this post would indicate, I'm looking for a word processor that syncs to Dropbox and supports .rtf or .doc files. Basically, what's going on is that I wanted Pages, but that doesn't have Dropbox support. Before I go on, I want to mention that I understand that it has iCloud support, but this is unsatisfactory to me. iCloud doesn't integrate with Windows Explorer. I don't know how things work on the Mac side with iCloud, but I like Dropbox's flexibility.

Is it possible to turn off word wrap in either IOS or in Voicedream reader?

Hello Wordle Fanatics,

I'm wondering if anyone has figured out how to create a wordle shortcut so that you can open the URL and java script extension in one single action? Got an error message when I ran my shortcut, probably because I don't understand how to properly create them. If anyone has managed to do this, can you please indicate how you built the shortcut?

Thanks so much!

Hello, I have a personal blog and am using WordPress for iOS with Block Editor enabled.
The trouble is I cannot break lines; pressing the Enter key, or two fingers right swipe in braille input keyboard, it creates a new paragraph; but as my blog contains stories where characters are often talking, I cannot create a new paragraph for every sentence a character says.

Which of these blog apps would you recommend and why?

Which one is more accessible?

Which one is more popular?

Do any of or all them allow one to easy find friends to follow based on your Facebook and/or Twitter accounts?

Also any other more popular / accessible blog apps you would recommend?

Thanks.

HI all. I've picked up something weird. voiceover pronounce words containing the apostrophe symbol in a weird way. for example: you're is pronounced you re, don't is pronounced don t, can't is pronounced can t etc. I find it quite irritating and confusing. I'm so used to jaws on my computer pronouncing words with an apostrophe correctly. I have tried all the voices: American English, british English, irish English, south African English and Australian English. I have made sure that the punctuation setting on the rotor is set to none.

Salam (Blessings) there!
I read the blog post in which Applevis community introduced the IOS 13.6. Also read the comments down there. A lot of users reporting there, whenever they want to delete the text from edit fields, in addition to deleting the text, voiceover also playing a 'boundary reach' sound. I myself experiencing this, and I agree, it is really annoying.
Workaround for this is:
goto: Settings > Accessibility > voiceover > audio > sounds
and select the boundary reach from there and turn off the sound for it.

Hey all!
I have a workaround for the Facebook tagging issues. Yeah, it's happening to me too.

this new app looks so promising, even though it's Voiceover optimization needs a little work. It allows you to automate a sequence of tasks or "workflows," as well as adding extensions to the Share buttons in other apps. To get started while you build your own custom workflows, it provides you with a gallery of ready-mades which you can use or customize. It also looks like people can submit their workflows to be included in the gallery for others to use. I hope the Applevis team can really put this app through the paces.

Hello everyone,

I am new to workflow and I have been rummaging through the Reedits forum for this app, but I'm still having problems.
Basically, I want to get the first line of the body of an E-mail message and have it Pasted into the subject line (Seems simple enough).
I get stuck when setting variables because (1. Not sure if this is what I should be using to automate this task, and (2. When looking at examples it seems understandable enough, but still confusing when trying to apply the concepts for myself.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi!

I've looked at the two apps workflow and launchcenter pro, and they seem quite interesting. Wich one is the most accessible for Voiceover users? I know you can do workflows with the workflow where you can give it a few different actions to performe, and the same might be the case for Launchcenter Pro. Wich one of those apps would you advice me to buy if I need to get some tasks done easier? Thanks in advance. Best regards Thomas
