Is it me doing something wrong or is there no app entry for what's app? I tried searching for it using different spellings and can't find it. I just started using it and have some questions but don't want to ask them again if they are here already. Thanks.

While the majority of my audiobooks come from my audible subscription, I do have a library of MP3 audiobooks as well. I know I can use iBooks, but that involves goin into iTunes on my PC which is doable, but cumbersome. Currently I'm using VLC and grabbing things from Dropbox. I find that VLC is surprisingly not that accessible however, particularly for rewinding and fastforwarding. So I'm wondering what other good alternatives others are using?

Hi. Has anyone had any success generating audio labels to print with Digit Eyes? I have had no such luck for at least several months, either through the app or via Safari in IOS.

The worst part is that I have tried contacting Nancy Miracle via email on December 6, 2016 with no reply to date. I also called the phone number I've used in the past with no answer. Instead I was greeted by a generic message that stated that the person whom I was trying to reach could not accept calls at the moment, not her usual voicemail greeting.

I can remember using the Paragraph rotor option a few years ago but I can't find now. Is it still available? I've tried to add it into my rotor options but can't find it.

When creating a post, within WhatsApp, I do not get any feedback from Voiceover. I hear letters as I type, yet, when I have completed a word and press the space, I hear nothing. This only happens within WhatsApp and not within other applications, such as Messages. Using IOS 13.7, on an IPhone 11 and I have Voiceover set to read characters and words. What's happening in WhatsApp? Has anyone else experienced this?

I've recently put some music on my iPhone. Sometimes but not all the time, when I ask Siri to play an album, she'll shuffle it, so the first track to play isn't the actual first track. Also, sometimes when I ask her to play an artist, she'll say, "Playing artist name shuffled." but it isn't shuffled. What's the deal here, and is there a way to tell her I *never* want her to shuffle?

I generally put my apps in different folders and use Braille Screen Input to open them. While trying to open Whatsapp with this method, I found it just didn't work! On doing a check it turned out that there's a character before W but VoiceOver is not anouncing that character. Could someone help me with that? Not a very big deal but just for curiosity and maybe will make me learn something? T

Hi! I have a long book in txt format, broken into 3 separate files, that I would like to read. But each file is probably over 100 pages, and I would like to hear if someone has any suggestions to an app that would let me read this without too much of a hassle.
I first opened it in Text Edit on Mac, but it's really hard to locate the spot I left of when last reading it, if I close Text Edit in the meantime. So that's pretty mych out of the question, I think.

I'm looking for a text editing app that I can use to take notes in the classroom and write papers for class and use some kind of cloud syncing that will automatically save my work and let me access, view, and edit on my PC. Kind of like Google Docs, but I found that to be kind of finicky with VO, though I haven't used it in awhile.
Thanks for any help!

Hi everyone!
As the title says. I have moderate expertise in programming, so I don't need anything that explains the very basics. What I need is something which explains the mechanics of shortcuts from start to finish. Thank you.

I'm mostly an android user these days but I've started providing training on both mobile platforms. I'm curious how well apps like goodmaps, lazarillo and blind square are currently working on iOS. Over on the android side there's nothing right now that even comes close to what Nearby Explorer used to offer and I'm hoping things are better on iPhones.

Hello.
what is the definitive podcasts app these days? I haven't listened to podcasts on apple in like 4 years, and overcast seems to have gotten messy. Hard requirements:
1. completely accessible with VO
2. playback speed
3. able to search for podcasts, as well as import rss feeds
4. either (a) no cluttery ads, or (b) the ability to buy a pro package that removes ads for a one time purchase
5. not apple podcasts (I never liked its interface for some reason)

I've been using the voice memo app to record some pretty long events, some over 2 hours long, and now find myself in a position where my iPhone storage is maxed out. The voice memo data is taking up the most space on my phone and I'm rather hesitant to offload the app before I know how to retrieve the memos and also, in case I find myself in a future situation whereby I haven't enough space to redownload it all. I can't delete the recordings yet as I still need them.

Subject line pretty much says it all. I downloaded Passport.app which seems pretty accessible though of course i don't have my actual one yet. Also any other tips to keep the book thing safe or identifiable, or any other thing I'll be overthinking for years to come. lol. Thanks P.s. I wasn't quite sore if this goes here or other apple chat, so mods please put it where necessary.

Isn't there supposed to be a blindness app where you can take a picture of something once and then record and/or write a description of what that picture is so that, when you take a picture oft hat same item again, it will automatically identify it for you?

If so, for some reason, I can't seem to remember the name of that app. Could someone please help me with this?

Hi, all! A lot of Youtube channels have stated that iOS 17.1 was going to be released yesterday, or today at the very latest. So far, there's no sign of it anywhere, and I haven't found any videos explaining the delay. I've also heard that Apple had to release the update by today because of some issue in France, so I'm super confused. I mean, I obviously have no choice but to keep waiting, but I'm super excited about some of the promised fixes, so was really looking forward to installing the update.
