iOS and iPadOS

Hello there. I installed IOS11.0.2 on my iPhone this morning, and since then i just cannot get into screen edit mode in order to use drag and drop. I’ve tried the double-tap and hold gesture with varying amounts of pressure, the tone does sound but there is no feedback from Voiceover confirming i am in screen edit mode. This is the first time i’ve come across this - all was working fine in version 11.0. Has anyone else been struggling? Am i missing something? Is there anything else i could try? Many thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Hi all! I'd to give all of you tips about a very practise tips. I have iPhone 5 with Ios 7.0.4 and VO. When I will end a call, tap once on screen lock button on top of the phone when you hold next to ear. You don't need to double tap with two fingers. This way is great, faster and when you had tapped once then the phone also locked itself. Before you could do this by double tapping on the screen lock button but now only that once. :)

Could someone please explain the benefit of the screen recognition feature to me? I only recently acquired an iPhone 14 Pro, having upgraded from an iPhone 8 and I have thus far seen no benefit to enabling screen recognition, even when certain buttons are unlabeled. Most of the time, image descriptions do the same thing as enabling screen recognition would do.

Any clarification on this would be much appreciated.

Hi all. I downloaded an app that's pretty cool called Miles. It's also at www.getmiles.com The site is a bit of a pain but once you're set up, you can choose to set your commute mode. Walk, ,train etc. One of them is rideshare. Unfortunately after i select it it tells me a few simple clicks and I can set things up. except that's as far as I get. There are a ton of unlabeled buttons so I selected screen recognition from the roter. I can use it all I want but screen recognition doesn't seem to show up.

Anybody know if screen recognition is broken? I'm on IOS 18.4 and on my phone and iPad when i use it it takes me to my status bar. Then I can't get out unless I go to the app switcher or close the app completely. Never did this before this update and it's doing it on every app I use it with.

Hello,

We all know that websites and apps should be accessible and work with screen readers. However, too often, this is not the case and it is a struggle to use them. Even when sites and apps are mostly accessible, you can sometimes encounter a form field that is not usable. This is where Screen Recognition can be a big help.

Hello friends,
I am facing a strange issue with my iphone and need some help,
I am using ios 11.2.1 running on iphone 7.
I attempted screen recording jusst to see it's capabilities,
What happened was that my voice came out from the phone speakers but voiceover came out from the earpiece speakers,
In my opinion, shouldn't both my voice and the voiceover voice come out from the iphone speakers?
If we doing a recording for app developers, i believe both voices should come from the iphone speakers and not the ear piece speakers,

I have heard of a screen recording feature. How do I do this? I want to try it.

Dear all,
I have an issue with the screen recording feature in IOS 11. During recording, the VO is heard through the ear piece of the phone and after recording, during playback, VO volume is very low such that one hardly hears it.
I'm using an iPhone 6S, IOS 11.2.5. What is the remedy?

Regards,

Hi Applevis community.

I'm running past you an often overlooked feature, screen recording. This is because it's not in Control Centre by default as of today, therefore it needs to be added manually, depending on the iOS/iPadOS you have. For example in both iOS and iPadOS 18 you can add screen recording directly to Control Centre, otherwise you add it under settings/control centre.

Hi all,

So I called up Apple Accessibility, and they say that the audio routing to the earpiece and VoiceOver is a design choice when screen recording with the mic on.

Does anybody know a good reason for this? I certainly can't think of any.

Hi,

I am noticing that when I activate the screen recording option, the audio goes from the main speakers to the ear piece speaker. How can I get it to just come out of my speakers?

Hi all.

If I try to do a screen recording, I get taken into the app center, or whatever the page beyond all the home screens is called, I just had to fight with it to get out of it, so I'm not going back in to find out.

I'm assuming this is some kind of bug. Any way of stopping it yet? It might not happen with the microphone in use, because I did get screen recording to work, once, and I was using
the microphone. I'm wary of trying it again though, because
getting stuck in the apps thingy is really annoying.

Hi,
I'm looking for a way to record video and VoiceOver sound, even if it is low tech. Even if I put my phone in front of a computer and record with the computer, that might work. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi all
I was in the extremely fortunate position of getting an Iphone 15 as a present this weekend. I am upgrading from an iphone 8 plus to the 15 so I think everyone who has been through such a process will agree with me that it is a huge step upwards!
The main problem I have now is that the screen seems to be too sensitive now. To give an example: I would move my finger to a certain place and when I tap there something completely different would be executed! I did not have this problem on my 8 plus.
Have anyone else encountered this problem?

Hi everyone. I have an iPhone 6 and I’ve just installed the latest iOS 12 update. My screen is extra sensitive now. Anyone else struggling with this issue? Is there a fix for this?

Hello. here's the deal. I'm wanting to teach someone something on their phone and I figured the best way to do this was screen sharing with either zoom or facetime. However, when I try to share my screen from both apps, I'd like voiceover to go through clearly which is not happening at all. I could have sworn you could have done it before in facetime on IOS17 as I seen people been doing it but nothing works. Is their something I'm missing? Using the latest version of IOS 18 here. Yes, I have my studio rig to put audio through but wanting to make it easier for myself.
