iOS and iPadOS

Hi all,
After updating to iOS 13: When my alarm goes off in the morning, not only is the alarm ringing but my phone is also reading the "Do not disturb" notification. What notification setting would I change to so in the morning, I hear just the alarm and not VO reading the DND thing that says, "Calls will be silenced..." Thanks!

Today, I sent a text to someone who I had not put in my contacts yet. I told Siri, "Send message to and then I said the phone number with area code. A few seconds later, I got a notification that the message failed to send. However, about an hour or so later, I received a text response from the person that notification said didn't send. Very interesting.

Lately when my phone is in my pocket and I get a notification, VO starts talking. I have an iPhone SE. Normally I will press the sleep/wake button and find my notifications. Now this new thing is even happening when the phone is on Mute. Just a minor annoyance.

Hi all,
I do notknow whether this is an IOS 10bug or not but I'll describe it to see if anyone else has experienced this one.
When I go to mail and try to delete the e-mail communications that I do not want to keep, I have an intermitant bug that sends me to the web when I hit the delete button.
As I say, it doesn't happen all the time but it is annoying.

Is this an iOS10 bug? My GF's not always seeing her wi-fi network among the list of available networks on her iPhone, but she's seeing it on her iPad.

Hi all. I noticed that on the U.S. App store, there ends up being apps in other languages. Is this common in say the U.K. store? I'm curious.

I sent a bug to Apple Accessibility for the focus jumping around mail bug and got this reply:

Thank you very much for your email and your kind words. We appreciate you taking the time to report this behavior with VoiceOver in Mail, and wanted to let you know that our teams are aware of this and investigating. We will follow up if we have any additional questions or recommendations.

Sincerely,

Apple Accessibility

Is this the standard reply from Apple Accessibility?

Whenever I'm playing Thumbjam on my iPad, if I swipe with four fingers upward, it goes to the app switcher. If I swipe left or right with four fingers it makes a weird sound, then says sound, then starts playing again, but I am tired of the interruptions. What can I do if anything Thanks! ?

Hello everybody. Have any of you heard of a music streamer and downloader called Trebel? I was thinking about getting it but I don’t know if it is accessible. It is a free app for IOS. It can be found here.
TREBEL Music - Download Songs by M&M Media, Inc.
That’s the name of the app. I have read some of the reviews and they say it’s really good but I don’t know if it is accessible. sorry guys, I tried to paste the link and it pasted the name of the app only. If you copy and paste that name into your search fields you should find it.

Hey everyone,

TweetList for many years was my favorite twitter client for iOS. It seemes the devs have abandent it now. Anyone have any ideas as to what's up? @twelist.

Does anybody know if Tweetlist has effectively been discontinued?

I was thinking about getting it, but it’s been so long since it was updated that it makes me worry that I might be wasting my money.

For those using it, does it play nicely with iOS 8?

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I just discovered this new Twitter feature called Spaces, which seems to be a clubhouse equivalent.
I wanted to ask if it is accessible on IOS?

Just curious to know if anyone’s used any Bluetooth five headset with the newer iPhones. If so, have they noticed any gain in responsiveness while using voice over? For example if you’re using an iPhone X with the Jabra elite 65t, have the slight delays in typing been resolved?

I doubt this will make me popular, but I have to say, I was playing around in both Safari and Firefox today. The experience, while doable, is terrible.

Web pages seem to load pretty slowly. Heading navigation works intermittently. This is because, apparently, maintaining placement on a page is a thing that doesn't exist. I tried both just hitting a link and then going back, and opening a link in a new tab and then closing the tab.

I have just downloaded the weight watchers app and I am wondering, can I still use it without paying a lot for a special program? I would like to at least be able to track my food and stuff without having to pay an arm and a leg for a special program. The prices on those programs look pretty high. Plus, I have no cash on my account.

I wondered if anyone has tried the beta ish Linux shell?

I tried it with a bluetooth keyboard.

Reviewing text is tricky, because up and down arrow keys take you through the command history. To review lines of text, you must turn on quick nav and rotor to lines. However, as soon as you enter a command, VO loses the rotor setting.

I'm not sure what I'll do with ish, but I'll keep playing with it and see what's possible. Please post your experiences here.

Hi everyone. From what I've heard, Siri is suppose to have off-line capabilities, yet when I activate her off-line, it won't work. Am I missing something? Perhaps it's region specific?

Honestly, I think that Apple should send this dragging business to hell, or find an easier way to move apps around. That is, if there isn't already one. Does anyone know of a solution? Just me and my iPhone here, so no keyboard/computer ideas please.
