Apple Hardware and Compatible Accessories

Hello, I am looking for 12 inch MacBook owners to give me their impressions on the usability of said MacBook.
I am looking at picking up the 2016 M7 version. For me, it's all about the great sounding speakers. Otherwise, I just grab an air and be done with it! Well, the portability is an asset as well.
I can deal with just a single US BC port! I will not be using the computer for intensive editing etc.

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a microphone that works with an iPads existing charging port, instead of having to buy an adapter.
It should be under $40 and because I’m completely blind, I don’t want it to be too fancy and something which I can use out of the box.

Hey everybody,
It’s been right around a month exactly since I first posted about my AirPods. I figured this would be a good time to share an update and mini review now that I have had some more time to play with them.

I recently purchased the above so I could reply more accurately and effectively to text messages using my iPhone. I have experienced one glitch using this accessory. Pairing with an iPhone is flawless; Navigating around homepage and folders using Voice Over commands is very easy. The problem occurs only when inputting text. Every key stroke is duplicated. I am a touch typist so I am not heavy-handed. Iaired my keyboard with my Apple TV, input text into YouTube search box, this problem did not occu.

Just came across this article on the news app and I am intrigued about this new Apple Pencil. As a blind adult who has recently returned to school to finish my computer information systems degree, I am trying to avoid math classes like the plague because I don’t know how I will solve math problems without being able to use a pen and paper, as I was able to do back in high school. Does anyone know if this Apple Pencil technology is accessible, as in, can I hand write some notes and VoiceOver will recognize what I have written? Any information would be great!

Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a simple to use, fully accessible microphone that can be used with my iPad.
It doesn’t need to do anything fancy, just make my voice clearer when I’m making phone calls but it must be completely accessible as I am totally blind, and less than $50.

Thanks for your help.

Good day, I am using a Astrum Bluetooth keyboard on the Iphone 6S with Ios10? Since upgrading from Ios9 it repeats every character 3 times? After restarting the phone things are normal until the next Bluetooth session? Can this be resolved?

I know this is not about an apple product, but Has anybody had this problem before? My fitbit charge three battery level keeps draining. Is there a way to see if the watch is updating or something? The app doesn't say anything either so I don't know what's going on. I've restarted the watch, turned on and off bluetooth on my IPad and let the watch battery drain completely and recharge to full. Voiceover doesn't read anything on the app about my charge 3 updating but I'm wondering if the watch updates without me knowing it.

Hello, I have the first ipad mini, and am considering whether or not to upgrade to a newer ipad mini.
I have loss of central vision in one eye, the other eye has reasonable sight for the moment. I use my ipad mini mostly for reading ebooks on various apps, listening to audiobooks from various sources (apps and websites), listening to music, emails, browsing, etc.

Hi AppleVis.
I have been talking about my new keyboard in other posts and I love it.
The problem I am having is that there are no function keys and also there is no fn key.
Near the space bar I have control, option and a globe key.
How can I use function keys?

The iPhone Seven is amazing. It is so much faster and has so much better battery life. There is a few inconveniences such as not being able to plug in your charger while using wired headphones and always having to remember that adapter. Still I would recommend it and who is in the market for a new iPhone, because it is so fast and has so good battery life. I hope this answers some questions for some people who are looking for new iPhones I recently upgraded from the iPhone six, Which I thought was a pretty good phone. Until, I upgraded to the iPhone seven.

Hi there, I'm completely blind so finding a new iPhone case is, as you might imagine, quite difficult.
If anyone could recommend a case brand that is open at the top and bottom so I can put headphones and a USB drive into my phone without having to wrestle it out of its case first, I would be grateful.
Also, I have seen a few but they're very expensive so if there are any that are less than $30, that will be good.

Can anyone recommend a good USB to iPhone flash drive? Sometime ago, I remember reading an article about a particular drive but I can't remember the brand name. I am particularly interested in those that come with accessible apps that I might have to use with this accessory. .

Hi, I know there is a 3.5 mm to lightning port converter, but that won't let me charge my phone at the same time as I'm using the headphones.
Is there anything that will do both.
