Apple Hardware and Compatible Accessories

I’ve been looking forward to my first iPhone for nearly 6 months now. I’ve been patiently waiting, and now that they’ve announced the iPhone 12… I ordered an iPhone 11. I was going to go with the latest and greatest, but then I realized the 11 with 128 gigs of storage costs US$650. Between the disappointing upgrades in the 12 and that price, I just couldn’t say no. As a bonus, I picked up a pair of AirPods Pro during the Prime Day sale with the money I saved. I’m also looking forward to buying a Watch SE, but I wanted to acclimate myself to iOS first.

Almost one year ago, I made the leap from my Samsung Galaxy s9+ to an iPhone 11. To say the change was dramatic would be an understatement. I went from a device that I used begrudgingly to consume media and talk to friends to a device that I use every single day for work, study, and play. Furthermore, I actually enjoy using it. I published a review a week after switching, and now that it’s been (just about) a full year, I’m prepared to give my final verdict.

Hi, I love Ear Pods sound quality, but when I want to use the microphone for example to use Skype it also records sound that I am listening. Can anyone help me to solve it? Thanks.

Hi, I am using iPhone 13. I just bought the device. Previously, I was using iPhone 11. The problems I will talk about were not experienced on the iPhone 11. iPhone 13 has the following issues:
1. When the screen is locked, when I press the power button, Siri appears on the screen. You can make sure I didn't long press the key. This happens when the phone is locked for 10-15 minutes. With short-term unlocks, there is no such problem.

Hey All,

It's time for an upgrade to my work computer. Currently, I'm running a 2013 MacBook Pro 13". The company refreshes us every 3 years, so I'm about 6 months past due. I've been waiting for the announcement of new hardware, and well, now it's here.

Hello Everyone:

I am researching the purchase of a MP3 player to listen to music and podcasts at work. I have an iPhone 5 but we are forbidden to have cell phones anywhere on the floor of the warehouse. MY VR Stream died and I was wondering if the iPod Nano, for example would be an accessible option for me being totally blind and using VoiceOver. Someone suggested an iPod Touch; but I think that might be overkill just to listen to music, MP3 audiobooks and podcasts to pass the time. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am completely unfamiliar with the iPod Nano and other models.

Hello all. I hope you can enlighten me. I am interested in creating a podcast but cannot use any of the podcast applications in the apple store. They seem to be inaccessible. Any ideas? Thanks so much. All the best, Maria.

Hi all. I'd like to buy an audio interface for my iphone 6s plus. Since I'm interested in getting a macbook in the near future I'm looking for an audio interface for macs as well. What audio interfaces with accessible software mixers are out there? On my windows system I use an RME fireface UC, which I can only use thanks custom snapshot templates tough. So I'm really wondering if things like software mixers are accessible on IOS and OSX.

Hi all. My Energrid battery, wasn't holding a charge and after nearly three years of use, I thought hey time for another one. Does anyone have any recommendations? I want something to charge the phone at least twice if not more. I also want to have something that if I get an iPhone12, I can use it easily. does this exist? If not, help me out with something else at least for now. Thx

Does anyone know of an accessible body camera that can be used for the blind and vision impaired. Something like smartglasses or something that clips onto glasses, or a a lapel, and makes an audible sound when recording is turned on.
Would prefer IWireless/blutooth, but would really like something that can work with my iPhone 6.

Hey,
About 4 years ago (yes), I've received an mpk mini 3 25-keys midi keyboard for christmas.
At that time I was motivated to learn DAW but had windows and reaper learning curve was too steep for me to deal with.
Now that I have a mac I thought I'll actually give it a try with GarageBand.
Ironically I ended up installing reaper with osara on my mac as well as I prefer the pixel audio selection thing, more precise than audacity/tenacity or any other audio editing software (none) that I've ever tried.

Hello,

In a few months I will be doing some international traveling. Is there an accessible MiFi router that I could use with my iPhone? That way, I could use BlindSquare and other navigation apps without being hit with a huge roming bill from my cellular provider.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Kris

I'm sure this topic has been discussed before, so please forgive me. I'm looking for an accessible streaming device, but I'm not sure which way to go. I currently have a Roku HD, but the Roku IOS app isn't as accessible as I think it should be, so I'm looking for an alternative. I know about Apple TV's accessibility, but I just can't afford it right now, and I'm looking for something short term to use until I can. Sorry for the lengthy post, but would the Amazon TV Fire stick, or the Google Chromecast work with voiceover? Thanks!
