Check out my podcast on this app if you are interested. This is the best Color Identification app you will find on the market for identifying basic colors very well! Has some great features in aloowing me to choose from a Live Mode which is like a real time scan of color identifications. You can force the flash to be set on for better results. I really love the option to choose from 3 different type of color scan. Basic, Crayola, and Detailed. With the Basic Color turned On in the Settings with the Detailed Mode. It will do a decent job in finding the correct color. Not the best like what I have suggest if you search for the ColorVisor which has a lot more accuracy in really detailed colors. For the basic color mode this wins hands down.

On the main screen you will find the Camera button. Double tap on this and it will bring up a list of options that you can use. The first option is the Live Mode. This scans for a color in real time using your real facing camera. The second option is the Camera Mode where you can take a picture to identify the color. Lastly, the third option is the Select an image from your Camera Roll. I've also made a podcast on this app which you might find useful for a nice walkthrough and usage for this particular app. I hope this helps you out and answered your question! :)

ColorVisor vs. ColoredEyes

I hope you have listened to both of my Color Identification Podcast on the two apps. As I have suggest that if you want a better and more precise color for detailed colors. ColorVisor wins hands down. It is faster and gets the results correct each time I've tried it with my method. I have to agree for being Free that ColoredEye does a awesome job in the Basic identification! However, in the Detailed it does a good job but not the best. Certain colors it will have a harder time in trying to figure out. It seems to waver quite a bit back and forth on detailed colors. So I have to disagree that both give you the same results everytime. However, you are right about one thing. That ColorVisor for being $4.99 and ColoredEye for FREE is a huge difference! It is a hard pill to swallow I admit to purchase the ColorVisor. It does offer a faster and more precise identification along with the RGB and CMYK values. Along with the ability to change the Color Table is also a nice perk. Thus, why I mentioned that ColorVisor is more of a professional grade app. There is no doubt that ColoredEye does a great job in the all around performance. I really do love this app. This is no doubt the best in the low cost Color Identification apps out there in the market.

Thanks for posting this app review. ColoredEye contains more features than the previous app that I had, which was iColorNamer4. It seems to be just as accurate, if not more so.
