The Heading at the top of the 'For You' tab of the native News App reads as 2 separate but identical elements when swiping to move focus.

In Notes, there are duplicated rotor actions to pin, move, lock, and delete notes.

With the introduction of iOS 8, Apple introduced a welcome feature where, when a say all (two finger swipe down) was in progress, all incoming notifications would not be spoken by VoiceOver and text reading would continue. This feature works well, with one exception: incoming text messages are still spoken by VoiceOver.

If you enable both VoiceOver and Zoom at the same time, VoiceOver gestures and the rotor may not work, and VoiceOver may not focus correctly. We believe it may be related to having a very high magnification setting on some devices. Some of the Team have not been able to reproduce this particular issue, so it may be the result of a specific combination of settings or use case.

If one has multiple Enhanced Quality voices installed, on occasion one or more of the voices may revert to the default variant and require a re-download. The team member who has experienced this issue reports that it has only occurred for them with the U.S. English Samantha voice, which was positioned as a secondary language in the Rotor.

In the Mail app, the label for the search field is no longer hidden to VoiceOver. Swiping right from the Edit button now says "Search, search text field" as normal, but another swipe causes VoiceOver to say "Search" again. Double tapping either the field or the "Search" label will activate the field.

When using a braille display with the Mail app, after opening a message, at the beginning of each line of the email, the user will see who the message is from. This occurs in the header information as well as in the body of the message. When sorting by thread, each line also begins with the message number in the thread.

Fitness stickers in Messages lack adequate VoiceOver accessibility labels. When navigating fitness stickers, VoiceOver simply announces "sticker" repeatedly instead of descriptive labels (e.g. "person jogging sticker") to provide context.

Though there are many customizable commands with a braille display, they will not be retained once you connect to USB.

Note: the USB HID industry standard was announced in May 2018 with Apple being involved in its drafting, but Apple platforms may not yet officially support the standard.

Select Irish Siri female as your VoiceOver voice.
Go to any piece of text containing the affected words, for example the word "he".
Use the VoiceOver rotor to navigate by word.
The affected word will not be spoken.

Some 3rd-party apps or services require access to your Apple Music account to be able to work. An example would be Amazon Alexa, so that you can link your account to an Amazon Echo smart speaker.

A list of apps and services with access is available on the Account settings screen in the Music app.

When not using VoiceOver, it is possible to remove apps and services from this list (thus revoking their access to your account). However, when VoiceOver is enabled, it is not possible to remove an app or service.

If you do not have a passcode set on your device, it is not possible to activate notifications on the Lock Screen with VoiceOver enabled. The options to clear and manage notifications work as expected; however, when a VoiceOver user double-taps on a notification and there is no passcode set on the device, it is not possible to activate the notification. We cannot stress enough that this bug is limited to devices that do not have a passcode set; activating notifications on devices with a passcode works as expected.

If you have notification grouping enabled for the Lock Screen, you may on occasions find that a group is not expanded when you double-tap on it.

Our experience suggests that this most commonly happens when there are one or more other groups of notifications below the one that you have double-tapped. Typically the group will expand if you double-tap on it a second time.

With VoiceOver running and a Bluetooth keyboard or braille keyboard connected, go to settings>Safari, and under the Tabs heading, change this to Single Tab. Now, Nnvigate to Safari's address bar and attempt to type in it. You will find that with either input method, it does not work.

In Focus mode settings, any existing automation for a Focus mode is announced by VoiceOver as an unlabelled button. Specifically, if you have created triggers for a Focus mode to be automatically enabled — such as at specific time or location — where these are listed in the settings for the Focus Mode, each will be an unlabelled button.

In Settings, VoiceOver does not speak the information displayed about devices linked to your Apple ID.

Depending upon the type of device, this will include information such as the model number, the software version, and the serial number.

In the Files app that is new in iOS 11, the VoiceOver Actions Menu for files and folders includes two separate instances of "Delete." In some instances, one of these will be "Delete Now"; on other occasions, both will be "Delete."

If you have multiple translation results on the screen, focusing on one will announce the presence of custom actions.
Most of them work correctly, except the two Voiceover calls "Drag1" and "Drag2".
Activating one of them will freeze Voiceover for a few seconds, but in the end won't do anything and will just play the no item discovered sound if sounds are enabled.

In the iTunes Store app, using the VoiceOver rotor to navigate by heading is inconsistent and unreliable.

The typical behaviour appears to be that navigating by heading only works with headings that are visually present on screen at the time.

Consequently, VoiceOver may report that no further headings are available, when in fact there are.
