Description

Double tapping on a bookmark or folder title in Safari's edit bookmarks screen incorrectly activates a delete button rather than opening the edit view.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Enable VoiceOver and open the Safari app.
  2. Navigate to the bookmarks view and enter edit mode.
  3. Use swipe gestures to focus on a bookmark or folder title.

Expected: Double tapping should open the edit view to modify the bookmark or folder name.

Actual: It activates the delete button instead of opening the edit view.

Always

Workaround

  1. With focus on the bookmark/folder, activate the contextual menu.
  2. Select the 'Edit' option to open the edit view.

Double tapping bookmarks or folders during edit mode should open the edit view as expected, rather than erroneously activating delete. Apple should restore the proper double tap behavior to match user expectations and previous iOS versions.
