I'm considering getting an Apple Watch but am wondering whether it is actually useful for a totally blind person. I've seen a lot of mixed reviews and experiences, and many of those posts are older. I'm not super into exercise and working out but will admit I do need to work on getting healthier.
watchOS and Apple Watch Apps
Hi, I'm asking for a friend. Is there a way to get your heart rate using the Apple watch without touching the screen? If so how?
Before buying an Apple Watch, I was wondering if there was a built in method or an app that could be used to tell the time silently. I'm thinking that there might be some way of vibrating the watch or phone to count vibrations or vibration patterns. Would be less intrusive than having Siri blare out the time when with other people.
Thanks for any ideas.

Hi guys,
Are there any apps in apple watch that could help you to swim in a straight line in a swimming pool, perhaps via tapping your wrist and such?
If not, do you guys know of any device that can do this?
Hi all. I know the reaons why we don't need an apple watch. I also know how it helps with your work outs, it gives you map feedback, etc. i even understand how apple pay works. So knowing that not only is watch OS2 coming out, and probably the second gen of the watch say next year, why should I buy one? I have an iPhone five, that i'm getting as long a use out of it. So, will i use a ton of the apple pay features, given the fact some stores won't support it, and it's still in its infancy.
I just updated my watch, and love some of the changes. For example, I'm thrilled that we can disable the VO sound effects now. I have one major question/concern, though. I know they changed it so that the side button goes to control panel now. I'm not sure I like that change, but it is what it is. The question is: is there still an app switcher for the watch, and if so, how do we access it now? I'm also frustrated by the fact that they've made it more difficult to switch between watch faces, and some of the stuff on my main watch face is no longer reading as expected.
hi
i would like to ask, if the bug on apple watch on battery reserve has bein solved in version of watch os 2.1?
Saw mashable story about this battery-watch strap.

I just got an AppleWatch for Christmas, and am really excited to shop for some accessories.
I know that Apple Watch has been constantly criticized because of its battery life, so I'm wondering if I should get some add-ons to prevent that.
hmmmnnn...what do you think?

Hello all,
I am noticing a wierd issue with my Apple Watch third gen. When I put it on the charger the screen keeps activating and deactivating. Has anyone else seen this? If so what might I do to stop it? It is driving me nuts at night when I keep hearing the noises its making. LOL.

So I have some apps here. My friend has the same watch as me and for her it worked. I downloaded three apps from the app store but no matter what I do I cannot get the apps to show in the app and not on the watch. I don't have full watch so there is space.
Hello.
I got an Apple Watch series 3 today and have updated it to recent watch os. I have some apps I want to install and set to download all apps but only two did and I try to install the other apps and then it says downloading for some time and back to install.
Hi guys,
My name is Jon and I live in the UK. I'm registered completely blind and have a hearing disorder and so am also registered partially deaf.
I've always been extremely happy with the 5 iPhones I've bought over the past several years, and have always been impressed how seriously Apple takes the matter of accessibility.
Just a couple of days ago, I took the plunge and bought the series 1 Apple Watch. On the whole, I absolutely love it! But there are one or two things that as a deafblind person makes certain aspects not so enjoyable.
Hi all has anyone had experience of the Jetek bands for the apple watch? i am interested in the leather loop option, as i can't get the leather loop for the 38 mm sport direct from apple which i would have thought would have changed by now to be honest. what is their leather loop like does it fit in to the sport easily and does it fit the same as apples design?
thanks to all

I have an Apple Watch and have been using the Just Press Record app for my diary.
Now, for some reason, sometimes it will not open on the watch when I want it to, not from the dock, the complication or the list of apps.
I don’t understand why this happened. I hope I don’t have to go so far as to resetting my watch.
I love this app and have lots of content on it wich is great.
I just do not understand why it is crashing on me. First I get a blank screen and then it goes onto yet another blank screen and then I am back to where I were before.
I have noticed that both on the iPad and iPhone the app often stops recording when paused. The watch app doesn’t do that even though it is easy to accidentally push the stop button wich is okay. I am using this app to make a diary.
