With the Notes feature I can use the dictation function for only a very short time, maybe 10 seconds. Can it be used for a longer period?
I would like to convert much more speech to text. TIA

Is there a way to speed up the audio of a podcast in the podcasts app? Thanks.

Hello. I have a question/request for AppleVis members. As the title for this post states, I am interested in finding an app that will speed up audio podcasts. I have tried several recommended podcast apps, and do know that some offer speed options. Downcast is my favorite so far. I’m actually looking for an app that speeds up audio to a larger degree, similar to a digital talking book player, Victor Reader Stream, etc.

I use the Square register ap, along with the Square stand to run my food service business. It takes too long to check a customer out using my current method of swiping through the list of previously entered items in the library, then making the correct selection, clicking add, then moving to the next item ordered.
I'm wondering if there is a way to "touch" select these items in the same way the touch typing setting allows us to more quickly enter text.

Hi I'm just exploring word and the pages app and trying to figure out if spell checking and word count is possible?
I have looked everywhere and can't find any option.
Thank you.

I have a Ipad Air, less than two months old, and a Iphone 5S, also less than two months old. I use a Zagg bluetooth keyboard case for the Ipad.

I am learning my first screenreader in VoiceOver.

As a writer, it is vital that I can spell check documents. However, I cannot figure out how to spell check with VoiceOver on.

How do you spell check on iOS?

Post Date:

Hi folks,
Can anyone help me find the area of the googledocs app where spellcheck can be done? It seems I found it a while back and now can't seem to locate it. Thanks.

Hello, I have been trying spell checking in the notes app but it doesn't work the way I need it to work. Basically I have a already typed note with spell errors and I need to spell check it. In notes, I have been able to spell check words in typing time, but not after the text is already typed. In the mac, in text edit, cmd + ; will do the trick, putting me in the next misspelled word and letting me access the list with vo shift m ... is there a way of doing something like this in the notes app ...

Is it possible to spell check a selected word in iOS 8 when using a Bluetooth keyboard?

When typing into an app with VoiceOver and a Bluetooth keyboard, VoiceOver lets me know that a word is mis-spelled, but I haven't figured out how to get a list of possible spelling corrections.

If this is possible, please give me specific steps to do this.

Thanks.

Hi, I having trouble figuring out how to use the spellcheck feature of my iPhone. Could someone walk me through this, or tell me a podcast where they do?

Hi all, When I spellcheck using pages, it shows me the words I have misspelled but I can't seem to find anywhere that contains suggestions on what to change it to. This is a very minor problem, as I can obviously find the word through other means if I don't know how to spell it, but wanted to see if any of you had any suggestions on this.

Is it possible to spell out words using either Siri, the dictate button on the on screen keyboard or Dragon dictation? I don't use voice dictation at the moment but that would be useful for example when typing in a web url in safari or just to make sure it understands what I'm saying. It seems to do a good job of recognising numbers but not the name of contacts when I say them for example.

Hello.
Just found whatever on my iPad and did the scrub to gget out of editing and it only said split keyboard. What is this for? I have heard about it but don't understand.

Post Date:

Hi
Can anyone explain how to use split screen on iPad with VoiceOver? I need to know how to activate it and the shortcuts to navigate from one window to the other and if there is any problem to be aware of with VO.

Post Date:

Can the split screen, on an IPAD Air 2, be switched off and, if so, how is this done?

Post Date:
