iOS and iPadOS

I am reading a book in another language and I want to look a word up in the dictionary of my mother tongue, which is not implemented in Voice Dream Reader, than add it in another app. When switching between apps or even tapping in another part of the app, I lose my exact focus and I have to re-read a sentence or two before finding it. Sometimes, I accidentally tap on the text and go further with the finger-reading option, which seems to continue to work even if I disabled it.

I'm new to roger and I noticed everytime I launch the app it comes up telling me about the new conversations feature. Is there a way to disable this?

Hello everyone. The most recent "why get an Ipad?" topic prompted me to ask this question:

I am a writer and I would like to use my Ipad Pro and/or Iphone 6S Plus to work on my writing while out and about. Since I primarily use Microsoft Word on a PC I need to be able to seamlessly transfer documents between the two devices. That part's easy. My question is in regards to the actual text editing - particularly navigation.

I know I can go to the settings to change the voice that Voiceover is using on my iOS device.

My question is: What is the quickest way to change the voice used by Voiceover on an iOS device? I thought there might be a rotor setting for this similar to switching languages, but apparently not. Is there a quicker way than digging into the settings?

I've tried from time to time to rate apps in the app store but have never been able to successfully do it.

Is there a podcast or a guide to how to do thisavailable?

There's a few apps like Weather Gods and Dice world I'd love to give a 5 star review too.

If anyone can give me some good tips I'd be much appreciated.

I sometimes get PDF documents with texts as images and I can't read those with my current tools.
A friend of mine uses Kurzweil for that. I haven't heard any other solution. I normally tell the people who sent me the document that it is not accessible and ask them to send it to me in a different way.
Is there any app or software or solution that reads that has a good OCR that can read those documents?

I am wanting to record, and upload pod casts using my phone. I use a iphone 5, with voice over. I'll likely want to edit it on my pc, adding in liners, that sort of thing. I'm looking for an accessable salution for that end as well, but that's a different matter.
Any help on this would be of great help

Hi there, For some reason when I record a vidio it records the audio in mono. Is there any way I can change this to record the audio in sterio? I've lookked in settings but can't seam to find anything.

For fathers day I received an iTunes gift card. How can I add that to my account using my phone? I thought there was a way. I listened to a podcast from 2013 on the site but my iTunes store looked nothing like what was described in the podcast.

I recently reset all my settings to try and fix tts pronunciations not working on recommendation of a friend (it didn’t work but that’s not what this post is about,) and ever since then when I go to enter a password on my iPhone, the prompt to autofill the password or create a new password isn’t appearing. Luckily it still works on my iPad since I’ve not reset its settings, but how do I get it to work again on my phone? Thank you in advance.

I guess like most people I try all sorts of apps many of which are not quite what you think and don't work well with VoiceOver.

I delete them on the device which of course puts them into the Purchased items (or as the speech will have it "purcases"). I now have about 40 pages of these altogether and would like to perminantly delete some of them, Can this be done and how?

I didn't mean to have an Apple cash card in the wallet but just use my normal credit card for things. How do I remove the Apple cash/Apple pay card? I must've added it by mistake, and now, I can't remove it! Any help would be appreciated.

I have been trying to reorder items in my Mix Playlist using the Downcast app with VoiceOver but can't seem to be able to do it successfully.

here are the steps I am using:

In voice over area of settings in my IPhone 4s, I encountered this rotor thing. While selecting things I want to include in my rotor, there is a reorder button besides each item. For example, I am focused on the character rotor, when I flicked to the right it says reorder, character button. I assume this will reorder the items in the rotor. But I cannot make it work. How can I use reorder in voice over rotor? Thanks.

I have a question about songs, and the Spotify app. Last night, I had some writing to do, and I wanted a song to repeat. But when I played the song, and tried to find the repeat button, it was no use. I couldn’t find the button. Which led to me having to get the previous button every time it ended. My question is, how do you get songs to repeat in the Spotify iOS app? Thank you in advance! :-)

The thing is that on iPhone 15 Pro Max, the system does not warn about low battery in any way, including not displayed on the dynamic island, please tell me how to solve the problem?

I have and iPhone 15 Pro with the latest version of iOS 17.

I have paired my phone with my Amazon Echo device and can listen to music, podcast, etc. which is playing on my phone through the Echo device.

I would also like to hear Voiceover (and Siri if possible) speaking through my Echo device.

In prior versions of iOS I thought there was an "Audio destination" option that I could add to the rotor, but I no longer see this.

Is there some way of routing both the iPhone's audio and Voiceover to my Echo device?

Hi,

I started using Todoist last night.

I found out that you can add the items in your ios reminders app to todoist, by using ifttt, so just created an aplit to do just that.
However, I can't seem to figure out how to run the Aplit, so that the actions get performed.
Is anyone familiar with this process, & might be able to offer some insight?
