Hello everyone, I am very new to applevis. I am known as Exodia. That is the name I went by on Vorail before the subscription through me off of it. Anyway, when I tap the find button in safari after typing A word to look for in a big webpage such as the Ray star vaults, voiceover jumps me back to the top of the page. Is there a better way to do this? I tried using the item chooser but it doesn’t respond on that page. Anyway, if you guys are familiar with the Ray star vault, you’ll see why I am trying to search for text instead of flicking through everything.

I remember doing this a while back, but had to reset my phone settings and now I don't remember how to do it. When i'm in safari and I want to access the tabs menu, where you have the back, forward, share, show bookmarks and tabs buttons, before, the way I had it set to was for those buttons to always how up at the bottom, but now, after I enter a web site in safari, there is address, collapsed, at the bottom of the screen where the buttons used to be.

Since the latest update 11.0.2, does anyone know how to delete & move apps around on iPhone? I used to simply double tap and hold, then was able to either move or delete the chosen app. Since the latest update, this doesn't work. Any ideas?

I've got a load of audio books under an old apple ID which I want to move to my new apple ID. What's the easiest way of doing this, hopefully avoiding having to use the iTunes web site.

Hi its Carlos,
I have a question.
A apple accessibility rep told me to restore my iphone 6 from iTunes by connecting it to the computer.
But he could not help with the new install because the down load took very long due to my very slow internet.
When the phone restarted it starded saying hellow in different languages and also slide to set up.
I have spoken to apple reps before and no one could give me the steps to figure out how to put the language in to English,
where it says hellow.
And how to slide to set up.

Hi all,
How do you stop iOS from automatically downloading the high quality version of Samantha? I've deleted the voice several times, but it keeps downloading. I can't stand this voice and don't want my storage space taken by nearly 200 MB of this garbage. Is there a way to disable this automatic download or should I just leave the voice installed?

When I go to any website using my Iphone 13, the cursor always moves to the top of the page when I am swiping through the page. I am running IOS 16.5. I have tried safari, windows edge and google chrome.
Is there something in settings that I can change? Is there a gesture I can use to prevent this problem?
If I cannot resolve this problem, I will need to stop using my Iphone to do web searches This behavior happens on all websites including Applevis.

Good afternoon, all! I just got an iphone 7 plus a couple of days ago, and am having a strange issue. My ringer volume is set to 100 percent, and when I play music, that too, is played at 100 percent volume. Unfortunately, notification sounds, such as my chime app for time announcement, as well as the lock sound and other push notifications, are at a very low volume. I've tried turning off audio ducking, but this doesn't seem to help.

Can any of you help me find a simple solution to cause VoiceOver to stop expanding abbreviations? As an example, the four letters f e a t are often read as the word featuring. This is fine in the music app, but is a terrible thing when I'm reading the word defeat and hear it pronounced as defeaturing. I would like to stop hearing the letters r e v as reverend or c o l as colonel. Sadly, I'm struggling to find a simple setting to stop these things. Any help?

I have an IPhone 5 and, for a couple years, I've been content with whatever version of Ios 7 I had on it. But when I needed to add the Alexa app, I upgraded to 9.3.3. Since then, when someone sends me a text, it also goes to my wife's Ipad and She's not real happy about that. I'd appreciate suggestions on where to look or what settings to change to fix it. I do use her I-store account but otherwise, we're different. Thanks.

okay, first of all this may not be in the right place. If not I am sorry. Also I am unsure if I am even explaining this right so if not, just let me know. Okay, say you set a timer on your iPhone using the native clock app. Then you lock your screen for awhile, and an alert comes through, it could be twitter or something else. When the alert comes through and voiceover reads it, it starts counting down the timer, and does not stop until you flick your finger left or right on the screen, moving the focus to somewhere else on the screen. My question is, how do I fix this?

Hello listers, I recorded a file in just press record. I would like to transfer the recorded file and its transcription to dropbox and to ferrite. When I press a share button I select an option share audio and transcript. Then I am able to locate a ferrite, but when I press the button nothing seems to get transfered. I am unable to located the dropbox as an option at all. Thank you for your advise. Zdenek

In two weeks time I plan to upgrade from iPhone 5C to the 6S. Already I murge contacts, calendar entries and reminders to iCloud. When I receive the 6S how do I then manage to transfer these mentioned entries from iCloud to phone. Is there a relevant podcast I can listen to. Please assist? For the last two years I found Applevis one of the best helpful sites ever created for the blind.

I have many files on my computer in WAV-format, and now, I will select some of the files and transfer the content to my iPhone via iTunes 12 on Windows 7 64-bit.
On my computer, I have placed the albums in folders with the name of the artist, e.g. Robbie Williams>Intensive Care.
