Hi! Since I often use my iPad to write-down notes, I sometimes need a program that can both open, edit text, and save TXT files. I have spent some time searching for a voiceover-accessible program, but without succes. Does anyone know about an accessible app that open both TXT files but also saves in the TXT format? Search for Notepad in the App Store, you will get ones that are free and that can do the job just fine.

I remember Pages supports Saving and opening TXT files.

It's pretty good and I think it saves to txt if you want.

Subtext seems to be exactly what you want. The app is nothing more than a simple plain text editor without any distractions. You can create a new document or open one, the app uses the native files views for this.
