The AppleVis iOS App Hall of Fame

The AppleVis iOS App Hall of Fame recognizes and highlights the dedication of app developers in creating accessible iOS apps for blind and low vision users. These apps provide equal access to services, information, media and entertainment, empowering users with tools and inclusive experiences at their fingertips.

Each year we stage a public vote to select the apps which the community believes are worthy of induction into the AppleVis iOS App Hall of Fame. To be eligible for induction an app must:

  • Be fully accessible to blind and low vision users;
  • Be from a developer with a demonstrated and long-term commitment to full accessibility of their app(s);
  • Demonstrate excellence in design, functionality and operation;
  • Have been available in the App Store and fully accessible for a significant period of time; and
  • Be under active development.

In short, our Hall of Fame represents the best of the best in accessible iOS applications, as decided by the AppleVis community.

Additionally, the app provides options to use it as a standalone feed reader, sync with iCloud, or sync with various services such as Feedly, Feedbin, FeedHQ, The Old Reader, Inoreader, BazQux Reader, Newsblur, Feed Wrangler, FreshRSS, Miniflux, Nextcloud News, and Tiny Tiny RSS. You’re blindfolded and going against traffic. Cars rushing past, angry drivers yelling at you. Cops on your tail. And you can’t see a thing. Can you do it?

The entire game is experienced through your ears. Play as Donnie, trying to make a quick buck in a scientific study but quickly finding himself in over his head, cuffed to the wheel and driving blindfolded. Plus he’s late for dinner with Grandma.
