Based on Mosen at Large review/recommendation and others, last week, I upgraded to Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Machine and UniFi Access Point BeaconHD.

Last year, apple launched the iPhone 11, along with the 11 pro, and 11 pro max. at the time, I still had the iPhone 7. however, fast forward to this year, where in march I upgraded to the iPhone 11. I traded in my previous phone to apple, and they gave me credit towards the purchase. I even ordered a case with a built-in screen protecter from amazon, and both came on the same day. The phone has been performing very well with no issues. yeah, it's very big, unlike the iPhone 7, which is…

Preliminaries and Pricing

First of all, I was going to do this review next week, but right now these earbuds are on sale in the United States for $45.99. In Canada, they are 106 Canadian dollars, and in the UK, they are £49.99.

I heard a different pair of these earbuds reviewed at the beginning of last week. They sounded good, but there were features missing that turned me off from them, namely no volume control on the earbuds. However, I searched for other earbuds by the…

In this review, I am actually covering two products, but they are so similar that I feel this will work just fine. For our purposes, we will be calling the original Pamu Slide "the Slide", and the Pamu Slide Mini will be referred to as "the Mini." When I first bought the Slide, it was one of the most funded kickstarter campaigns ever, and most certainly for a truly wireless earbud. It was also endorsed by many, many celebrities and very highly reviewed from early testers. Is it worth it…

As I have become more integrated with technology, one of the challenges for me has been keeping that equipment powered up. While I have an iPhone and braille display, I also have other things that need to stay charged such as the microphone that delivers a direct audio signal from the person wearing the device to my hearing aids. It often serves as a life line to keep me able to communicate with those around me who only use speech. Depending on the context, there are many other types of…

The Brailliant BI 14 from Humanware refreshes instantly, silently, and reliably. Those three words should be kept in mind in what follows, because they may well overshadow every other quibble and criticism I feel obligated to mention in this review, and they in fact set it apart from the Orbit Reader 20, which was my other serious contender…

This review of the Dot Watch provides an additional point of view to the reviews posted here on AppleVis and Access World. I purchased the watch at the end of 2019, two and a half years after its launch.

The first time I checked the time on the Dot Watch, I was struck by a conviction that a digital Braille…

I've been using AfterShokz bone conduction headphones since 2013 and they are a regular companion on my daily walks, allowing me to listen to music, podcasts, books, and VoiceOver while still being able to hear traffic and whatever else is going on around me.

The $159 Aftershokz Aeropex are the company's smallest, sleekest, lightest, and most advanced bone conduction headphones yet. They are well-designed, have good build quality, and are extremely comfortable to wear.

In…

I got these headphones as a backup pair of headphones in case my Bose QC35's ever broke, because it's quite noisy at my house, and noise-cancelling headphones are a must for me. Anyway, on the left ear cup, you will find two buttons, going from back to front, first is the button that you press and hold to turn active noise-cancelling (ANC) on or off. Next to that button is the power button, press and hold it to turn the headphones on. ANC will come on by default, if you don't…

Hello everyone. I'm back again with another review and today I have something I think is truly unique. Today I'm taking a look at the Stealth Labs Speaker Backpack. This backpack can hold up to 12 liters of space, with a main compartment big enough to hold a 15-inch laptop, a change of clothes and all your other essentials and a little more. The zippers are hidden out of the way to discourage thieves, and the bag also has a built-in speaker that doesn't sound half bad as well…

So, for the longest time iPhones have only been able to capture audio in mono. That all changed with the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR. The catch is, you can only get stereo audio when recording video. This has it's cons and pros. For one, the stereo mics on these phones aren't lined up with the camera, so you get an inaccurte stereo image compared to the actual image. But on the good side, they exist, but that's not what I'm here to talk about. I am here to talk about the…

If you're looking for a portable BlueTooth speaker that fits in a messenger bag or large purse, and one that sounds good, the Anker SoundCore Sport XL is right up your alley. This stereo BlueTooth speaker is compact, shockproof, waterproof and it has a long-lasting 15 hours of playtime before it needs recharging. I'm writing this review over a year after having bought one from Amazon.ca. They normally retail for $129.99, but I got mine on special for $79.99. Over the past year, I've used the…

I needed a pair of true wireless headphones and decided to go for the ones with the longest battery in one charge.
I bought a pair of Jabra Active 65 Elite. I didn’t know anything about them but thought they sounded good.
They were easy to pair. Very straight forward.
The problem was the app. It is Jabra Sound +. Most of this app is accessible, but there is a lot of fiddling around with the moments that are unlabeled and don’t even say button.
Something that was even…

Intro

Since 2011, my home Wi-Fi network had been powered by an Apple Airport Extreme base station. Having gone way too long with a basic Netgear router that constantly needed rebooting and had spotty signal throughout the house, I was looking for something that was fast, reliable, and accessible.

At that time, Apple’s router business was at the top of its game, making, in my opinion, some of the best wireless routers the industry has ever seen. For this reason, in January…

I'm back ladies and gentlemen, slapping you upside the dome with yet another headphone review. Today I want to talk a little bit about the Creative SXFI Air, a very new headset that had it's debut at CES 2019. For the last several months I've had an interest in 3d audio. I'm not talking about the fake 7.1-channel surround sound in say, some of the Logitech gaming headsets. I'm talking about typical stereo audio, but with a little bit of reverb and other effects that…

This is the first wearable Bluetooth keyboard to hit the market! This keyboard allows you to control your phone using various tap combinations on any flat surface.

Physical Description

The keyboard itself actually consists of a wrist-strap with five touch-sensitive wrings, one for each of your fingers. It is a comfortable fit, and four of the wrings appear to look the same, except for the thumb, which contains a power button, a vibration motor, and a mouse pointer. Notice…

Here I am with another review. It's taken me some time to write this one.

Today I have the Skullcandy Crusher 360, which I will say is definitely an upgrade from the original Skullcandy Crusher Wireless I talked about quite a while ago.

There are some cons with this one, and I will discuss those, but let's start with the layout of the headphones.

The first thing to mention is that as far as the way they feel and the way they work, the Crusher 360 is quite…

The earphone jack on my ipad mini recently gave up the ghost, so i was on the hunt for a pair of cheap bluetooth earphones as i didn’t want to be spending a lot of money on something in case it was a bit more than the earphone jack not working.

description

These earphones are a similar shape to Apples’ earbuds that come with an iphone or ipad. They have a wire connecting one to the other and are about an arms length along when they are fully stretched out…

Upgrade your mac's storage in a Flash...

We all know that Apple isn't the biggest proponent of on-device upgrades, and sending your machine in to get upgraded will likely result in a charge double to that of upgrading it yourself thanks to the travel/labor expenses involved. Yet, you've probably made the mistake of cutting back on storage while maxing out ram and other resources. Sure, many of us went for external hdd's, but let's face it that just isn't going to cut it when…
