Hello from the team at AppleVis,
This week, Apple released operating system version 26 for all of its major platforms; including for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV. Read on for links to AppleVis' coverage of these releases.
At the outset, we do want to take a moment to let you know about a serious issue that some VoiceOver users have experienced in iOS 26 and iPadOS 26; for which a fix is on the way. Upon release of iOS 26 and iPadOS 26, we began receiving reports that some users experienced a loss of VoiceOver speech, either immediately upon installation of the update, or after restarting the device at a point in the future. Apple has confirmed they are aware of the issue and that a fix is coming in a software update. If you use VoiceOver and have not already upgraded to iOS 26 or iPadOS 26, we recommend that you do not do so until the aforementioned fix is released. We will post updates to AppleVis as and when additional information becomes available.
This special edition of the AppleVis Newsletter contains links to all of our content for iOS 26, macOS Tahoe 26, watchOS 26, and tvOS 26. To try and avoid sharing information that may quickly become outdated, we are including links to our website rather than pasting full-text posts here. We hope you find these resources to be both helpful and informative.
