iPhone XR, Disney+ App Issues Following iOS 14 Upgrade

By Brian, 4 October, 2020

iOS and iPadOS

Following upgrading my iPhone X are 2 iOS 14 The Disney+ app is not accessible to me. When I open the app it just reads the status line and will not read anything else on the screen. When I turn VoiceOver off and ask for the family to use it it works fine. My wife has an iPhone 11 and doesn’t have a problem. Is anybody else with the eggs are having this issue?

Hi, I can go on the app and look through titles to watch, I haven't tried cliking on anything though. Do you have the latest update of the app?

Hi Brian,

I don't use Disney+, but based on your description of the issue, I wonder if VoiceOver's new "Screen Recognition" feature is on. Go to Settings> Accessibility> VoiceOver> VoiceOver Recognition and be sure Screen Recognition is turned off.
