I wanted to ask for thoughts on the state of reading subtitles aloud on iOS, but really I'd take any platform.
My understanding is that Netflix and iTunes can read subtitles aloud with Voiceover, so if the media you're looking for is on one of those platforms you're doing all right. However, I've been wanting to watch One Punch Man's season 2, and it's not available on those platforms, and I don't believe they've created a dubbed version.
hello listers, is there an application that reads subtitles outload for your iphone? I read that such application exists for machintosh called sub tts, however, is such application for iphone, or is there any paccessible player that can do that? Many thanks for your responses. Zdenek
Hello everyone. What kind of iOS video player do you use to watch movies with subtitles? In my case (iOS 11.4.1), the only app that supports reading of subtitles is the Apple's stock "Videos" app, but, as you know, this media player has problems with the most of video formats. I tried VLC and nPlayer Plus, but haven't had a luck. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Hello.
I have never really worked with Daisy books due to the fact that they aren't common in my country so I can have questions that are obvious.
I have purchased a book from National Braille Press in Daisy format to read it in Voice Dream and to have a perfect navigation that Daisy has with levels.
When I imported the zip file to Voice Dream it stated that it is a text book.
However when I simply open this archive in files app there are mp3 files. Is there a way I can switch Text to Audio and backwards?
Thank you!
does anyone know how you can read over text you have written in a textfield on a webpage with bluetooth keyboard as I cant seem to do it...when on the email app/ or on pages moving the up and down arrows work fine, but on a webpage whilst it does move through the text i have written voiceover doesnt read it allowed. I cannavigate through words by pressing option rig‘‘‘“
ht arrow etc but not the whole thing changing the rwter to lines doesnt help either...its like with what i have just written for example with the keyboardI cant read back over it.
I’ve been teaching myself German, and I have the German language added to my voiceover Rotor. I’m using the Siri voices for English and for German. I don’t know if that makes a difference one way or the other. I also have language switching turned on, but if I come across German text anywhere, voiceover attempts to read it with the English voice. I have to use the rotor and manually switch it to read it in German. Is this normal or is there a workaround for this?
Hello all:
after following your suggestionm concerning the notification sounds.
i tried the notification summary, and really it is great, it saves my helth, and make me stay in focus. also, notifcation sounds are working.
now, i have only 1 issue,
when i need to read a notification inside the summary, the notification is not complete, i can not find the notification subject like it was before the summary.
so, if i get a notification from X, it will say: x: new notification from applevis, but where is thesubject?
it is happening in all apps.
Hello there,
I was wondering if there are any apps that will allow me to read a TV screen especially when the satellite service goes down?
The service provider is always asking for a code, but I can not give them any messages on the TV screen.
Thanks.
Hi all! I know this may have been covered before, but I have a question. Is there any way to review what was heard when scanning something with seeing AI? For Example, if I'm scanning a credit card, or something similar, is there a way to make voiceover read it back to me, say by character or word, instead of having to reposition the camera to read it back? Then, is there a way to copy the text somewhere like notes?Does Envision do this any better? Thanks in advance for any input.
I am absolutely fuming with a capital F and a load of other words in between. I really need some help before I chuck my iPhone straight out of the window or use it as a doorstop.
I have a severe disability consequently making me electric wheelchair bound and unable to walk. For many years my iPhone was just a toy for other people as I could not use it until they launched the accessibility feature last year. I have been reinvigorated by using my iPhone and iPad with a mouse.
Hi guys, I thought the real-time recognition function was broken for everyone since iOS 17, but now I saw from some posts here that only mine is broken
My issue is that when I activate real-time recognition, my iPhone just makes sounds for each element recognized by the camera or the laidar sensor or whatever.
Hi all,
I wonder if people might be able to give me really simple recommendations for a voice recording app for ios, the sort of thing you might use for notes, memos reminders, lists etc.
This isn't for me, its for someone who I know who is in her 70s, and has made very good progress with using the iPhone, but she needs a lot of training and repeating of steps to get comfortable with doing things on her iPhone.
Hi everyone hope you're doing well and staying safe. Currently I'm running an iPhone 12 mini with the latest version of iOS 16. I'm running the latest version of fantastical the free version and I'm experiencing some very strange behaviour. I have it set up to work with my iPhones default calendar. I go to add events using fantastical and I go to add alerts to these events. When I've added the alert before I click the add to calendar button I can see the alert just fine.
I have a rather strange problem going on with Doby on, and I wanted to see if anyone else could reproduce it. The problem that I'm experiencing is the fact that I use mfi hearing aids with my phone. Anytime they are connected, as soon as I double tap the record button, the app completely crashes. I have no idea why this is going on. If anyone has any idea, or can reproduce this behavior, please do let me know. I'm ready to send something to the developer letting them know, but I won't be sure that this is nothing weird on my end, and that this is reproducible.
