CrocusContact is an new iPhone app which enables iPhone users to just use their voice to quickly create a Contact entry. CrocusContact uses speech-to-text technology to convert what you say into a contact, which you can then tell Siri to dial. CrocusContact uses audio to prompt you for the first name, last name, business name if applicable, and phone number. It then just creates the new contact information, and that's all. Out of respect for your privacy CrocusContact doesn't read any other information on your phone including your existing Contact entries!

Hi, I've only just discovered this site and would be very interested to hear feedback from visually impaired users regarding my iPhone and iPad app called Easy Cooking Timer. I recently added VoiceOver support and would love to know how successful or otherwise my efforts have been. The app lets you create a library of meals. Each meal has a list of items, and each item has one or more steps that must be performed in order to cook that item along with a duration for how long the step takes. This allows for things like pre-heating the oven or turning an item half-way through cooking.

Hi,

My name is Karthik and I have been working with visually impaired users in the Netherlands for the past year to understand ways of enabling independence. In that process, I did a deep dive into artificial intelligence and how it can be a helpful tool for processing and conveying visual information. I found that most of what was in the market were simple object recognition apps that were not very practical to use.

Hence, we built an app called Envision AI, that takes a context-based approach to this problem. Our app can be currently used to:

Hi everyone,

This is Karthik from Envision. About 6 years ago, I came to this forum to post a beta of a new app I was working on called Envision AI (link to my original post). We got a lot of love, but more importantly, we got great constructive feedback that helped shape the future of Envision AI, which now has more than half a million users worldwide.

Hello 👋🏼 I'm Thomas, an independent developer for Apple platforms, and would like to introduce my app Fin - Budget Tracker today!

I've been working on the app for over 4 years now and recently spent a lot of time on improving its accessibility features (VoiceOver + Dynamic Type) for the next update.

I'm posting here because I'd appreciate it if someone who has more experience than me and uses VoiceOver frequently could take a look and provide some feedback.

Hi everyone! I'm the developer of Find, an app that lets you search text using your phone's camera. I've recently been working on accessibility and VoiceOver support. You can download the app on the App Store.

Find's main feature is to find text where you normally can't. This includes books, worksheets, instruction manuals, nutrition labels, pretty much anything. It's fast, accurate, and completely offline.

Greta & Starks are two iOS apps that enable people with sight or hearing loss to experience fully accessible cinema. Starks also includes foreign language subtitles for an international audience.

GRETA & STARKS are special apps, as they play the existing audio description (AD) or subtitles for hard-of-hearing individuals and people with hearing lost (SDH) at any time, place, or screening - in indoor and outdoor cinemas, at home, at school etc. – simply, using one’s own smart device. Greta whispers audio descriptions, and Starks plays subtitles.

Does eating chocolate reduce headaches?).
Additionally, you can share your Guava profile with your family, caregivers, or providers to reduce information gaps!

imo is a free video calling and chatting app that is 95% accessible with VO. It reads hints that VoiceOver will say aloud. For example, if VoiceOver says profile, after 3 sec, it will say views user's profile.

Are all the buttons clearly labeled? Not quite, but don't get fooled. A lot of the buttons are clearly labeled, it's just one of those apps that have some buttons that are weirdly labeled. Again, don't let that fool you, the buttons that are labeled weirdly can still be recognized.

Hi Everyone, my dad (who is deaf) and I developed an iPhone app that is up to 95% accurate for voice to text. We created this app because it was difficult for my dad to understand what was being said in daily conversations because lipreading is only 20% accurate.
