found a bit of a nasty bug in setting up my new iphone.
and whilst its probably not that likely to crop up.
its worht while watching out for since it could well leave u up *creek, if no
sighted assistance.
basically attempted to restore new iphone from old iphone backup on a macbook.
this was ok, but rebooted and then asked for passcode, and no sound.
got some sighted assistance via be my eyes, and this allowed me to get past
the passcode screen.
then voiceover and sound kicked in and all was ok.
macos was sequoia, end of line intel macbook.
and restored from an iphone se backup running ios 18.5 to a new iphone 16 pro.
have reported the problem to apple.
first time i have ever had this, and been using iphones since the 5c!
normally have nothing but admiration for what apple do with accessibility.
probably unusual but mentiond in case anybody else comes across it.
