Bluetooth speaker question

Hi all!
I just got a SoundCore 3 bluetooth speaker from Anker. When I connect the speaker voiceover comes out of the phone and is very loud. When I turn it all the way down with the rotar it is still almost so loud it is hard to listen to. When I play something through the speaker it does fine--bard books. I wonder if this is the way it is supposed to work and is there a way to equalize the voiceover so it isn't so loud?
Just wonder if anybody has e xperience with this. I'll also add that I have an se2020 phone so maybe the technology is so old that is the problem.
Thanks for any info.
Jim

I just can't get the volume of voiceover on the phone to go low enough. As soon as the speaker finishes pairing it just raises the volume to very loud. The volume on the bluetooth speakekr is fine.

As I understand things, this is a bug that has been around for a while. Where, when pairing Bluetooth (earbud, speaker, whatever), the voiceover volume is extremely loud, and hard to lower. Unfortunately, you may just have to wait for an iOS update to fix this. In the meantime, just stick with the VoiceOver volume rotor to adjust volume as needed for VoiceOver when connecting Bluetooth.
