Budgeting App recommendations

By PinkCupcake5, 3 January, 2019

Hello everyone! Does anyone have any budgeting app recommendations that are accessible with voice over (specifically something that will let you add transactions and categorize them)?

I have been using Mint for a while, but there are some things that only the website can do (like editing irregular budgets) and the website is unfortunately not fully accessible despite my attempts to contact customer support.
Thanks!

I really like this one because you aren't forced to use a feature if you don't want to or if it isn't appropriate for you. For example, when I first started using this app, all I wanted to do is track my Kindle purchases. I didn't add any info such as income, household expenses or anything else. I didn't link it to my bank, either. All I did is enter the Kindle expenses as they occurred so that I could track how much I was spending. The app works well and you can customize it to suit most any need.

Thanks for this! Do you know if you can view spending by category on iSpending? I can't tell if this feature is available since I have very few transactions so far.

I've just begun using the Finances money tracker app from Marco Corti. It's fully accessible with VoiceOver and you can create whatever categories you might need. You can try it free for 150 transations or unlock it for $2.79 Canadian. It will handle recurring transactions as well. You need to enter these in the "more Info" section of the account they're for rather than like other transactions. The only other thing which took time to get used to was double-tapping the numbers on the pad and trusting the decimal place to be put in the right spot. This app works very well.

You Need A Budget

The software is YNAB and is very accessible, and it has a web app that can be accessed from any computer. There is a free trial period, so you can try before you buy. The software has four simple rules which you can check out on their web page.
