Is Netflix on Apple TV Limited?

tvOS & Apple TV Apps
I started my free one month trial of Netflix on my Apple TV yesterday and was rather disappointed with the movie selection. I was under the impression that Netflix carried new releases to its customers, but there were hardly any movies that have come out to DVD in the last 12 months listed. Is this normal? Is the free trial period have a limited number of features and when I begin to pay for it I will gain access to everything? I currently have a Hulu Plus subscription and when I started it you had plenty of stuff to access right away. Thanks for your help!

Hi Jennifer, My girlfriend and I have Netflix on our Apple Tv, And love it. We paid the eight dollars a month, however, we've noticed also that when it comes to new releases, they seem to be 2 to 3 months behind on new material. Whereas, iTunes, is up to speed On new releases. I think this seems to be the normal things though with Netflix. It seems as though they add more Tv shows than movies. Shane.

Netflics is a system where new releases are usually not available. The licensing is primarily for recent movies, but nothing you would find at say, blockbuster, redbox, or even through ITunes. You get movies and tv shows, but they are usually at least a year old. Hulu+ is different because they have a license to show shows that have aired over the past few days. Your best bet is to wait for Redbox streaming which is in the beta stage, but if they decide to provide an app for I devices, who knows if it will be accessible.
