Can’t get Universal Clipboard to Work

My iPhone and iPad are both running iOS 11.2.5, have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Handoff turned on and airplane mode turned off, are signed into the same iCloud account and connected to the same Wi-Fi network and are right next to each other, but still I can’t get universal clipboard to work. I’ve tried signing out of and back into iCloud on both devices and turning them both off and on again. I briefly managed to get text copied from my iPhone to paste on the iPad, but not the other way around, but now that’s stopped working again. I have also tried copying between my iPhone 7 and iPhone 6, but that doesn’t work either. I don’t think handoff is working generally, but I’ve only had my iPad for a few months and I don’t think it’s been working for any of that time, so not sure exactly what I’m supposed to be seeing. If I’m supposed to be seeing one device’s apps in the other device’s app switcher, I’m not getting that. Any ideas why this might not be working? Does it require a Mac to be connected to the same iCloud account? I’m trying to use this with just iOS devices.

I didn’t know about this feature. This will make life much easier for me. Unfortunately I cannot help you as much as you helped me, but try to restart your devices. If both of the devices are running the same iOs, are connected via the SAME wifi and have handoff turned on it should work. Wow this has made my life much easier. Thank you.

Glad it helped you. I’ve

Glad it helped you. I’ve already tried restarting both devices, but still no luck. Sabrina, are you using a Mac? I’m wondering if maybe this feature only works if you have a Mac signed in to your iCloud account, and maybe it’s not working for me because I’m using iOS devices only?

Same here

I can’t get universal clipboard or hand off to work. For example, if I’m in Safari on my Mac, I thought I’d be able to continue in Safari on iOS. There is supposed to be something on the lock screen or in my app switcher, but there’s never anything there. I’ve followed all the rules and requirements that you stated in your original post, but neither universal clipboard nor hand off will work.

I don’t have any computer at all. I just have my iPad and iPhone, to add with my apple watch wich doesn’t matter in this case.

I'm not sure if turning on two step authentication helps.
