Dropbox has no windows

Dunno if this problem popped up previously, but, i have installed, and reinstalled dropbox on my mac mini which i got 2 days ago, and every time i launch it, apart from the very first time when i was able to put in all my credentials, all thatt VO says, is "dropbox has no windows". Any ideas on how to solve it?

Hi, Press VoiceOver keys and M twice quickly. This should bring up a menu showing your wifi status, battery level, the time etc. If Dropbox is running, you should see it in there. Can't be sure but the last time I checked it worked. Not sure what you need it for though as you can just paste stuff in the folders you've got but hope that helps all the same.

I have the same problem with ddropbox as well as some other apps

Hi guys. I have this same exact problem with dropbox. I open the app and no matter what I do it says dropbox has no windows. I thought that command N opened a new window, but this never works. I just tried going to the Menu extras that was suggested earlier, but that didn't fix my problem for some reason. Is there anyway to fix an app that does this without having to uninstall it and then reinstall it? Thanks, Holly

Using Dropbox on the Mac Easily

Hi, Dropbox is one of those weird apps that just run in the background. To interface with it, you mostly work in Finder instead of Dropbox itself. I find it easier to create an alias for the Dropbox folder on my desktop. This is a shortcut that will open the Dropbox folder quickly. To do this when Dropbox is already installed and set up: 1. Open a new finder window. 2. Find the sidebar table and interact with it. 3. Press command l. VO will say: "Make alias". 4. Drag/drop or copy and paste the alias file wherever you think you will use it most--desktop, dock, documents folder, etc. Ironically, I haven't used aliases for more than doing this, but now, every time you want to put something in the folder, just open that alias. You can monitor the syncing progress from the extras menu. Happy drop boxing! This makes sharing files between my Mac and my old PCs so much quicker. Chelsea
