Hello,
I would like to ask you for a confirmation of a problem I am experiencing in Safari, though it applies to a web content in general, but Apple has not been able to reproduce the issue yet. After I interact with a item of text on a web page, VO-Shift-Down arrow, and then use reading by sentence, VO-Fn-Command-Down arrow, or VO-Command-Page down in case of keyboards with the Page up and down keys, and if there is a link or table (or maybe also other types of elements) after the sentence being read, Safari always stops responding and I have to turn VoiceOver off and on again to unfreeze Safari. I am running macOS Sierra 10.12.1, but the problem does not occur on my second system on the same MacBook where I have El Capitan 10.11.6 and the same version of Safari, 10.0.1.
Reading by sentence is one of the less known commands for text reading and editing listed on this article, and I find it very useful for reading long paragraphs.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
- Open some web page in Safari, for instance, https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204390
- Find a text that is followed by a link. On the aforementioned web page, for instance, find the text starting "To learn more about the accessibility features available in iOS and how..." that is followed by the link "user guide", and start interacting with that text, VO-Shift-Down arrow.
- Press VO-Fn-command-Down arrow several times to read by sentence in the text you have interacted with. Now, Safari freezes indefinitely, at least in my case.
Or you can visit https://www.apple.com/voiceover/info/guide/_1131.html and start interacting with any text that is followed by a table and try the same.
Thank you for your comments in advance, and your possible reports to Apple will be greatly appreciated.
Adam

Apple has reproduced the issue
I have just received a message from [email protected] that they have been able to reproduce the issue and forwarded it to the appropriate group, but your reports might still be helpful to stress the importance of the issue, if you find it worthwhile.
