Description of App

RS Games specializes in the development of accessible games, products and software for the blind and visually impaired. RS Games are played by thousands of visually impaired people on Windows and Mac computers, and Blindfold Games and RS Games teamed up to create this app.

Now you can play any of the 20 different multi-player games on an iPhone, iPad or iPod. Just login with your RS Games account, or create a new account, and start playing.

Several of the games are free, and others are available with an in-app upgrade.

You can start a public game or a private game, or you can join one of the public games that haven't started yet. You can add computer bot players to your game to make it more exciting.

Accessibility Comments

The game is very accessible to use. Please see below for more information about sme non-typical gestures when using this game.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

All buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver and is easy to navigate and use.

Other Comments

Please note that the typical VoiceOver gesture to swipe left and right in certain areas will not work as expected. For example in the Starting Game section. You will hear Use an Existing Account and if you swipe left or right you will hear Quit. One must use a flick up or down from the Use an Existing Account to find the Create an Account. This can be found throughout the app. So be careful about this gesture. The other is that the Log In can be tricky at first. Enter your UserName and don't touch anything else and use the Return key at the bottom right corner. If you get the response of New Line. You will have to do it over again by shutting down the app and start over. Also, after entering your Password and hitting Return. This next page want to let you know that it will remember your credential so you don't have to remember it again. If I touch anything by swiping or anything you will get stuck. Whenn you get to this page just double tap on the screen without doing anything else. Lastly, for some of you out there I may caution you on the sticker price. As you are aware that you may have been spoiled with the genrous free games on the actual RS Games site. That is not the case in this app. Luckily, you can just purchase the game you want without breaking the bank. Just remember it cost the developer money to create this game and pices like this are pretty reasonable for the work that they had to put in to this.

Leave any suggestions and tips in the Comments below so that others can enjoy and even any feedback for the developer.

Enjoy the game! :)

I'm not sure how to describe this bug, but I seem to be still getting this after the update:
- I enter a text chat message using the touch screen commands (3 finger swipe right, enter using virtual keyboard and hit return key.)
- My message is read properly.
- However, after this there seems to be a chance for the game to freeze. Either it hangs and doesn't tell me that it's my turn (still tells me I am waiting for someone to move, perhaps) or I just keep getting the "invalid command" noise when I try to do any touch commands.
- I usually have to do the 3 finger swipe up to return to main menu, re-login and then go back to the game and it automatically returns me to the game.

I've pretty much avoided chatting on the iPhone client due to this reason unless someone chats directly at me.

I think that this is more of a connection issue, and not of the game itself.

I've been trying to hunt this down and have found blog posts relating to it but can't seem to find the actual store itself. Can anyone help? It's fun to play on the phone but it would be nice to be able to play with a physical product

so I was gonna connect and play a few games earlier while out with the family. I connected just fine, but when I selected uno, it said I had to buy it. I've already bought it. now, the funny thing is that when I get home, it works like a charm. Anyone else noticed this?

Submitted by Toonhead on Wednesday, August 10, 2016

so, when you say when you get home, the game works fine? are you connected to Wi-Fi? so these games only work when connected to Wi-Fi?

Please send me an email directly from the app - its in the settings, and we can figure out what's up.

Submitted by Joseph on Wednesday, August 10, 2016

Yes. I think the games only work on wifi. because as soon as I got home and was connected to the wifi network, it worked. on data? nope, no go. I could log in, but couldn't play any of the games I bought and I think this also extends to the free ones as well. very, very odd. This could just be me, but if others have experienced his, well, then we may have a slight issue to resolve.

Work on cellular data for me just fine

Submitted by Joseph on Wednesday, August 10, 2016

hmm. that's odd. didn't seem to work for me.

Here is the site that has "accessibility kits" for Cards Against Humanity (and all the expansion packs.) I think they have a couple where you can buy the kit + the game (note that the kit alone is just the sleeves with braille on them to slide the actual cards into, so you'd need to buy either the combo that has the game plus the kit or buy the game on the side.)
http://www.64ouncegames.com/ShopCart/index.php?main_page=product_info&p…

Be warned, there are a lot of cards in the game and will take some sighted help to set it up initially, as I imagine you'd have to have someone read a card out and then you find the appropriate braille sleeve for it.

It even says this in the description and also the fact some blank cardstock may be needed to ensure the sleeves get filled out properly, as the cards are a bit smaller than average.

RS Games needs a connection to the web server. That occurs either through WIFI or an internet connection over your 3G or LTE cellular service.

Submitted by Joseph on Wednesday, August 10, 2016

qonder why it wouldnt' work yesterday then? I had a good LTE signal and was able to log into to the surver, but not play any games that i bought.

The chat bug seems to only be happening on Battleship and Bingo, perhaps a problem with the grids?
Also, is the background stream option supported for iOS yet? Because when you try putting the music on in the background stream, nothing happens, the bug comes in when the person stops the background stream, reverting to the regular in-game music, also causing it to make the music overlap, playing two versions of the song.
So is background stream supported, and if it is, is overlap thing just a bug?

I will see if something is messed up when using grid.
Streaming music is not in the game yet.

Submitted by Igna Triay on Sunday, August 14, 2016

So, when I am feeling the chat history, when I swipe right with one finger, it should take me to the last message, but nothing happens. If I miss a message, I have to flick down lots of times to get to it.

Submitted by tunmi13 on Sunday, August 14, 2016

That's all tooken care of. There is a beta version that will be released that fixes that bug.

Submitted by Igna Triay on Sunday, August 14, 2016

What will the next release half?

I love this app!!! Games are fun. I played Monopoly and was making a trade. And I selected what I wanted to trade but the computer says I didn't trade anything. Think it's a bug and thought I would put it on here.

I love this game!
I can't figure out how to use braille display mode. I have a refreshabraille 18.
Oh and i have a question about logging in to Twitter via the RS games app. So I authorized RS games to use my Twitter account and i got a authorization code but when I return to the app I can't find the place to enter that code.
If anyone wants to add me I'm Lipsaremoving13

Hi guys. Firstly, loving this app and I have roped others into playing Uno. However, I'm having a bit of a problem when trying to stream a radio station in the background using the iPhone app. If I try, it says it's changing the stream but nothing happens and i someone else in the game tries I am asked to press control+p to accept which I cannot do because I'm using an iPhone app and no keyboard. I am able to do it on the PC client successfully and I know it isn't one particular stream because I have tried at least 2. Anyone else having this problem?

OK, so I bought the bundle four, which gives you unlimited play for all of the games. if my family wants to play with me, we have family sharing enabled, and if they download the app, and log in with a different account, will they be able to get The bundle four since I purchased it for free?

Submitted by KidFriendlySoftware on Saturday, September 10, 2016

Apple's family share doesn't work that way. Send an email through the game and we'll see what we can do.

I've written to both RS Games and Blindfold games but there is still a bug with the chat while using a bluetooth keyboard. You can not see the chat history you can see a history of the actions you have done and the app's message but not the message history itself.

Submitted by Joseph on Monday, September 12, 2016

This is kind of off-topic I think, but every update I've seen for this app has the release notes of "Minor Bugs Fixed". It's very slightly annoying...well okay, more than slightly. Not to bash the dev, but I'm pretty sure it's not a bad thing to be specific on which bugs were fixed. I prefer that, actually. But I digress.

We include with the app what was fixed, and it should show that when it starts. I figured that's a lot more relevant than including it in the app store description for the update, since many people ignore that.

Submitted by KidFriendlySoftware on Tuesday, September 13, 2016

What bluetooth keyboard key are you using to try to get to the chat history? How do you expect it to operate. I will emulate what you are doing and try to solve it.

Submitted by JeffB on Tuesday, September 13, 2016

I'm using both control up down left and right arrows and I expect one of those to show messages that are sent by hitting f2. I should be able to see both my own message and other messages sent by other players. Also private messages this is done on the PC by hitting control page up and down. I hope this helps you find the problem.

Submitted by JeffB on Wednesday, September 14, 2016

Great thank you!

Submitted by Joseph on Wednesday, September 14, 2016

That makes sense. I'm one of the few users who looks at the app store descriptions of app updates I think.

Hi,
I'd really switch off the background music during the games. Since I didn't find any option for it, I had hoped I could lower the volume way down via the option in the menu.
But after I choose that option in the in game menu the doüble ding is heard. But the volume is the same as before.
Am I doing it wrong, or is there any other way to get rid of the unneeded noise :-)
Because that's usually one of the things I do first, in whatever game I'm playing for the first time.
So if it could be switched off anyhow, it would be really appriciated.
Otherwise, I really liked the games I tried so far. :-)

Submitted by Bahzad on Sunday, November 20, 2016

If you use a Bluetooth keyboard, try to press F three. I'm not sure how to turn down the volume of the music with the touch screen, but from what I understand and experienced the layout of the app with a keyboard is similar to how it works on the computer.

OK, so, I downloaded only the Blindfold Greeting Card app to send another blind friend a card for his birthday (incidentally, it never worked for me!).

However, only recently, I downloaded this app and want to use that same account to log in. However, it has been so long since I logged in to my account with Blindfold Greeting Card that I no longer remember my username/password. How do I recover this information?

I looked under the login screen, but there doesn't seem to be an option for folks who forget their information!

Greeting Card doesn't have a login. Did you purchase any cards? If so, that would be with your itunes account, from apple.
By the way, there's a new version coming out soon.

Submitted by Misty Dawn on Monday, May 1, 2017

Oh, wow! Thanks for the info! Again, it had been a while, so I suppose I had forgotten that I didn't even log in there.

Also, thanks for the update on Greeting Cards!

How does one create a new account in-app? All I see is an option to "Log in with an existing account".

Submitted by Misty Dawn on Tuesday, May 2, 2017

So, I just created an account on the app and went to log in.

However, when I got to a screen that said something like, "Would you like to log in automatically to this computer(?)?" and I tried to hit "yes", all I got was the "there is nothing there" buzzer. I tried flicking down, up, right, left, and I still got that buzzer.

How do I get out of this screen and to my games?

How does one make sure one is playing with an actual person instead of a bot?

FOr example, when I started playing Trivia Challenge, it gave me options for 1, 2 and 3 players. I chose 2 players and it automatically gave me a bot instead of letting me choose an actual person. I saw no option in the screen to pick number of players to add actual people.

How do I add actual people instead of bots?

Are there any plans to update this app in the future? I ask only because i've noticed there hasn't been a update in a while and I'm sure there are still some bugs that should be squished.
