How do I Change Function Key Behavior on My MacBook Air?

By Greg Wocher, 7 August, 2016

Hello all,
How can I set up my Mac so I don't have to press the FN key in conjuction with the Function Keys to get a normal press instead of using them to raise and lower volume?

Regards,
Greg Wocher

You want to open System Preferences, open the Keyboard section, and choose the first tab. There's a checkbox that says, "Use all F1, F2, etc keys as standard function keys". Uncheck that, close System Prefs, and that should do it.
