New phone what.should I go for?

Other Apple Chat
Am about to.upgrade my phone and wondering whether I should go iPhone or android? Since I own both an iPad and iPod touch both I love which have a lot of iPad I mainly use as a computer as opposed to my laptop and my iPod for obviously, music n videos etc, so was thinking of a low copacity iPhone generally for phone use n general 3G use for certain apps etc, or would it be silly to own all 3 iOS products n go android?

A lot of people I expect are going to tell you to go iPhone because that's what they use. I own a iPhone, iPad and a macbook pro. I use all three because i"m studying to be an audio engineer. That being said I'd look and see what you like better. Do you want to customize your device, or do you want a secure platform that one company controls. I'm looking into getting a Nexus 7 just to see if I'd every like owning an android phone. But, the choice is up to you. Do your research play with phones especially with android that are 4.0 or higher and check out your options. Hint vanilla android is the best way to go, if your using a gsm carrier like T-mobile or ATT getting an unlocked Galaxy Nexus is your best option for a pure google experience, not to mention that you'll get updates directly from Google themselves. Aaron said it very well. If you want Android, go vanilla Android so you can get the updates directly from Google...eliminates the middleman. As far as whether you should own all three products...there's nothing wrong with that, in my opinion. If you're happy with your other iDevices, chances are you will be happy with an iPhone. I love mine. If you want to try something different, though, then give Android a try. If you take only one thing away from this post...if you go Android, go vanilla Android.
