Labels on photos

Since the IPhone makes it so easy for blind users to take photos, I would like to see a feature in VoiceOver that would allow us to label photos. That way we could find particular photos to show others, and email, text, post to facebook, etc.

Technically, you can label photos. Ios 5 has the ability to label buttons and other elements. Photos can be labeled in this way as well. Just tap the photo twice with two fingers and hold, that will put you into the item labeler.

I tried using the liable eliment feature. Can't get it to label individual photos. It labels all of my photos with the last label used. What am I doing wrong?

Yes , Yes! Apple needs to allow labelling of photos in a meaningful way. In the mean time, how do people get around this?

This has always annoyed me! The reasons one might have for labeling photos are many--maybe it's a picture of a bunch of people at a party, but what party? And who was it for? Also, thumbnails are quite small, and sometimes people don't want to have to open a picture to know what it is, hense a filename. Also, a date/time would be nice. I could rename pics on my old Nokia N75, so why not on an iPhone? It's not a very hard feature to implement, but I don't think that's why Apple hasn't implemented it--they just don't want to. I don't want to have to use a special label element feature to name my photos--those labels won't transfer over to my computer when I copy the photos off my phone. I might write to Apple about this--I don't think I'll get anywhere--but maybe if enough of us write to Apple saying that the label element feature isn't satisfactory, they might, just might, listen.
