Hi everyone,
I'm Mathias, the developer of Package Hero. My new game, Oath & Ash, is now on the App Store. In German it is called Eid & Asche.
https://apps.apple.com/app/id6813987825
Oath & Ash is a turn-based fantasy card game for one player. You build a deck, fight through three acts with three different heroes, and upgrade your cards along the way. The enemy tells you its next move before it makes it, and nothing in the game is timed. If you lose, you keep your progress and try again with a changed deck.
VoiceOver was part of the design from the first build. Each card is a single element that reads its name, cost, effect and level. Enemy turns are spoken to the end before anything else happens, and animations stop while VoiceOver is running. Blind players tested the beta with me and a lot changed because of them. I expect there are still spots I have missed.
The game is free, has no ads, and runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later. There are in-app purchases for Diamonds and a Path Letter. The interface is in English, German, French, Spanish and Italian.
Please tell me what does not work for you, here in this thread or through Help and Contact in the game's settings. For accessibility problems it helps to know your device, your iOS version, what you were trying to do and what happened.
Thanks for reading, Mathias, Krögoor Entertainment

initial findings
this sounds a great title.
Firstly, i noted when the narrator is speaking, voiceover i don't think should say that is happening.
Also, the "middle dot" character is reading which is quite frustrating middle dot when it reads middle dot like that.
that just made up example, but you know what i mean? also, in the tutorial, when i have defeated the character, turn 2 not telling me what to do? so i skipped it and now trying the game but love the environment. how long is the game to do a single run?
Thank you
Will
Thanks, all three noted
Hi Will,
thanks for trying it and for writing this down so quickly.
All three are on my list now:
1. VoiceOver talking while the narrator speaks. That should not happen, the narrator is enough.
2. The "middle dot". That is a separator I use on screen, and it should never be read out. I will remove it from everything VoiceOver speaks.
3. The tutorial going quiet after the first enemy is down. I will go through that step again with VoiceOver.
These go into the next update. I will post here when it is out.
How long a run takes is hard to say. Everyone plays at a different pace, and there are achievements and the Arena, where you play against other players, on top of the three acts. If the game is well received, I will add new acts.
Which device and iOS version are you on?

well, great game.. it remind me a game called: dawncaster
I think it is a great game.

the battling sounds could be more stronger
I hope the next update we can have all the battling sounds more stronger.
for Mathias
I use iphone 17 pro latest ios 26 build
very, very cool
I've just started playing, so don't have any more feedback than this is an awesome game that does, indeed, remind me of Dawncaster.I'm playing this on my Mac, where it works quite well. If you can, consider extending support to the Mac and possibly Windows as well.
the game started in german and Idk a single word in german
So I have no idea how to make it English. also I couldn't find the app with the english name but I found it with the german name
Edit: I'll now delete it, click on the link here, re-download it and hope it is english this time
edit: nothing changed.
This is nice!
Can't think of anything to add other than this is a cool game. Keep up the good work.
Update on the way: language fix and your three findings
Hi everyone,
thank you for all the feedback. Here is where things stand.
Version 1.0.2 is with Apple for review right now. I will post here when it is out. It contains:
1. The language fix. If your device language was not one of the five the game supports, the game started in German. That was my mistake. From 1.0.2 on it starts in English in that case, and the app is called Oath & Ash on your home screen.
2. VoiceOver no longer talks while the narrator is speaking.
3. The "middle dot" separator is no longer read out.
4. The tutorial now tells you what to do after the first enemy is down.
Sysskuu, sorry about that start. Until the update arrives there is a way around it: add English to the preferred languages on your iPhone, under Settings, General, Language & Region. It can sit below your own language. The game then starts in English. You should also find the game under "Oath & Ash" more easily soon, I am changing the store listing with the next version.
Ming, stronger battle sounds are noted. Tayo, thank you, good to hear it runs well on the Mac. I have written down the wish for proper Mac support.
Will, thanks for the device details. Your three points are the ones listed above.
If something else does not work for you, please tell me here or through Help and Contact in the game's settings.

1.0.3 is out: VoiceOver fixes and a stuck adventure resolved
Oath & Ash 1.0.3 is out: VoiceOver fixes and a stuck adventure resolved
Hi everyone,
version 1.0.3 of Oath & Ash is now available in the App Store. Thanks to everyone who sent feedback, this update is mostly built from your reports.
What's new:
- Hit points are announced again after each round. VoiceOver no longer cuts off the round summary before the hit points.
- No more lost focus on iPad after the enemy's turn. VoiceOver now lands on the enemy reply reliably instead of jumping or going silent.
- Adventures no longer get stuck. If a league duel is still open, the adventure screen now tells you and takes you straight to the duel, instead of "Set out" doing nothing.
- Sound comes back after interruptions. After a phone call or another app takes over audio, the game's sound returns without restarting the app.
- Better layout on the iPhone Duo outer display.
Please update to 1.0.3. Older versions now ask you to update before you can continue playing. Your progress is kept.
If something still doesn't work for you, write to us at [email protected], ideally with your support code from the settings.
