literal bugs on my phone.

there are some things I do not like about summer: the heat, the humidity, the bugs. Don’t get me started on bugs. This year, my house has been invaded by Nats. And, of course, when I am using my phone, they are attracted by the light. I keep having to swipe them out of my face. Disgusting! I do have a bug zapper, which is doing a good job, but I can’t wait for the late fall when hopefully all the bugs will be dead.

Try using your phone with screen curtain on? There shouldn't be any light then.

Reminds me of an ancient TV set we had from the 50s when I was growing up. The outside was made of wood, and the screen had a plate of glass about an inch in front of it. Down in the bottom in the space between the screen and glass were a bunch of dead bugs of some sort from the 50s. I guess they were on the glass as eggs or something, hatched then died.

Perhaps they want to make a call or send a text asking other bugs to visit you? Bugs are people too.

Hi there Honest. Avon's Bug Guard works well with keeping the flies off your phone.

Getting bugs in production?
Looks like this one escaped the software and made it into real life. 🐛
Turn on the Screen Curtain.
It won’t fix the bug in your code…
but it’ll literally fix the bug problem on your screen.
Bug report: CLOSED. 😎

I’m sure those of us with iOS 16 will remember that enormously and knowing screen curtain on voiceover crashing bug every time we would read through any blocks of Text. Well, this seems to be coming back again, however not as frequently. I’m definitely seeing it though. It’s going to be really hard to report because it’s such an infrequent occurrence. The workaround before and Iowa 16 was to use regular voices and not use any enhanced and premium voices. I’ve tried that now with iOS 26 and it’s still happening even with a regular voice. So I don’t know how that’s gonna work out but that’s what we got. It’s definitely less frequent, but it’s definitely still happening. But that was so annoying. I just hate the fact that it’s even coming back at all. As far as literal bugs, well that’s awful and I’m sorry and I hope that you won’t have to deal with that too much longer. The only other thing I can think of is, I’m just gonna have to go back to a regular Voice and hope that it stops or something. Right now I’m using Karen premium on both of my devices. But yeah, I mean it was literally the .16 where you couldn’t use anything in Hanton premium or voices. You literally had to use like preinstalled regular voices. I’ll do that again if I have to, but I’d kinda rather not ride. What do you guys think? Have you been seeing this bug crapping up again?
