Any tips for sharing VO during Zoom sessions? I tried the following:
- From Windows, starting a Zoom session, selecting the advance tab, share iPhone/iPad, check enable audio, click share, and then going through Screen Mirroring with Zoom User on my iPhone.
- From my iPhone, start a Zoom session, in Control Panel select Screen Recording, then selecting Zoom from the list.
- From my Mac, do the same as Windows except selecting the wired option from the advance tab.
In all of these cases, the iPhone shared the media audio but not VoiceOver. What am I missing to share VO?
All OS and apps are using the latest available version as of this post date.

Glad I'm Not the Only One
I've had this problem since iOS 26.0 and it directly affects my paid work.
I urge you and anybody else affected to report this to Apple through the Feedback app. I submitted feedback about this back on December 31st. Please refer to my case in your own submission. It is:
Voiceover Audio Not Included When Sharing iPhone Screen on Zoom via Airplay.

thank you.
Is this actually a bug?
Im asking because yeah sometimes when sharing audio you might to share vo but in other cases; you don't. I.e, just share the audio but not voiceover. Is this actually a bug?
Possible solution
Ok, found the solution. In VO's Audio settings, make sure you turn on this option:
Send to HDMI
When I did it, all was back to normal.
Another Way to Share
I didn't even know you could natively share an iPhone screen and audio from the Windows Zoom app. At least I think that's what people are doing...
I've been doing this a bit of a different way, but it also allows me to record IOS videos for my channel with more clear microphone audio.
I use a Windows program called Reflector 4. When running, it turns your computer into an AirPlay server, so you can mirror both video and audio of your phone or iPad to your computer. When Reflector 4 is running, you go to your Control Center and tap the Mirroring button. Your computer should show up there.
It will ask for a 4 digit pin to pair. This is very easy to see as a low vision user, and I can use NVDA screen OCR to read the little pop-up window with the 4 digit code when it appears.
Once connected, I can then share my entire screen, and check the Share Audio checkbox in Zoom, and I can then share any Windows apps including screen reader, or ALT Tab to my Reflector iPhone window, and people can see and hear it too.
I use another program for recording videos from Windows called OBS, but that's beyond this post. This setup has been working beautifully for many years though, and I use it all the time for my day job, and for my YouTube channel.
questions on how to get your solution working via reflector,.
I have Reflector 4, which I bought last year, but no matter what I try, I can't get voiceover or audio to play through the app. My phone disconnects, even when I use Reflector Student to connect. The reflector option sometimes does not even show up in the airplay window when I try and mirror. I'd really like to solve this problem in case I ever need to share audio or video via Zoomβwhether I'm giving a speech at Toastmasters, presenting a 30-minute educational session, leading a training, or posting about an accessibility issue.

About the Send to HDMI option you mention, is that on the iPhone or are you talking about the Mac? My situation specifically involves a Windows PC and my iPhone. Thanks for any clarification.
Reflector Tips
I don't know that I have the answer to your specific Reflector 4 question, but here are a couple of things to note.
I first start Reflector 4 on Windows.
I then go to the Mirroring option on my phone, and see my computer show up there. Just double tap it.
Your phone should prompt you for a 4 digit code.
On the computer, either look at the big white box that appears, or use a screen reader OCR feature to read it. I find that minimizing everything else before starting this helps minimize clutter.
Enter the 4 digit code on your phone, and you should be in. That's all I do.
When the phone window is in focus on your computer, you can use ALT + W to close the window and disconnect your phone.
One other thing I forgot to mention in my earlier post, is that once connected, use your triple press tu turn VoiceOver off and back on again. If you just leave it on after connecting, you likely won't get audio. I just turn it off, and back on again, or just have VO off when I enter the 4 digit number because I can see well enough to do so.
Hope that works.
I did run into an interesting problem with my new wireless headset, a SteelSeries Nova 7x. When you install the SteelSeries GG software, you now have several different audio devices. Reflector does not like the better Gaming headset device. You have to switch your audio device to the standard 7x device before using Reflector, or VO won't work. If you have a similar headset that has several devices selectable, you may have a similar problem. I E-mailed Reflector support about it, and they've determined that it's a problem with how Windows uses one bit-rate for audio, but Reflector uses something different, and there's some weird compression problem. They will eventually look into a fix for this sort of thing, but don't know when it will happen. Until then, I have to just switch devices when I do stuff with mirroring my iPhone, whether doing Zoom or recording video.
