(Solved) Suggestion: Separating Latest App Submissions

I wonder if it would be possible to separate the showing of the latest app submissions from the latest forum posts? I bring this up as in recent days, there's been an increase in app submissions. This is not intended to complain about the submissions, but now that it's happening, I personally find that it's clogging up the forum posts which is what I usually come to the site to look at. I think it would be beneficial to have a separate section for both as we could then get the latest information without sacrificing either.

It wouldn't be the end of the world if this can't be done, or it's decided that it's not worth it. I'm curious how other people feel.

Assuming that you mean on the site's homepage, you can achieve this already by using the filter at the top of the list and selecting to only show forum post.

It is fine the way it is. there is no need to change anything!

I can definitely understand why some people might feel that way. The main page is really meant to be a catch-all for everything, so it’s always going to show a mix of app submissions, forum posts, and other updates.

That said, if you’d like to narrow things down, there are a couple of options that may help. On the main page itself, there is a filter by type option you can use to focus on just the kinds of posts you want to see.

Also, the Main Menu button near the top of the page opens the navigation menu. From there, you can go into the Forums section and jump straight to the latest posts in specific areas. For example, you can view the latest Apple forum posts here: https://www.applevis.com/forum/apple/latest

And the latest Non-Apple forum posts here: https://www.applevis.com/forum/non-apple/latest

Hopefully that helps make things a bit easier to browse, depending on what you usually come to the site to read.

Why you always so negative regarding each suggested feedback regarding the site? Just because you, say it's fine the way it is doesn't mean it's indeed true. You can't expect everything to go your way.

Hey thanks to those of you who let me know about the filter by type! That's my bad for never noticing that before. I've explored the main menu but somehow skipped right over the filter at the top of the list. I withdraw my suggestion heh.

Remove this comment. I know it will be removed and deemed to be violating the guidelines, but who cares. If you can ignore Dennis's dismissive and off-putting attitude and remarks and let it slide every time or perhaps even implicitly support it, than I demand you ignore this single comment of mine instead of removing it so that I can at least hope for a tiny bit of justice left in you. A whole thread where I shared a suggestion to implement single-tap navigation was removed due to such dismissive responses from a bunch of members including Dennis, so now it's his turn to face such a removal. Yes, I strictly demand justice and that this very comment of mine not be removed before his. He has made such posts multiple times where he would just cut off others like that, and he still continues to do that.
