Show me a single major company that doesn’t collect user data. Apple, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, Netflix, Spotify, Uber all of them collect data in some form. That isn’t stealing, it is disclosed in their Terms of Service and privacy policies.
When you click “I agree,” you are explicitly consenting to how your data is collected and used. Choosing not to read those terms is a user decision, not deception by default. You always have the option not to use the product.
Data collection is essential for developing modern AI features. Speech recognition, image description, navigation, recommendations, accessibility tools, fraud detection, and system improvements only work because models learn from real-world data. Without that data, these technologies do not improve.
Accusing companies of “stealing data” ignores how digital services function and the fact that users knowingly agree to these terms every time they sign up.
and yet we know who is instigating stuff. You're literally saying these things just because you do not like AI glasses. Particularly meta glasses. Here we go again! Do you not know that every, major, company collects data at one point or another. Yeah, I don't like it neither but how else is AI gunna train. Apple does it, youtube does it, facebook and X both do it,tiktok does it. Ya might as well get rid of your phone, mac, everything that you use and go off the grid if this is how you're feeling. But we all know that you won't do that.
