Renpho fitness tech

Hello everyone,
I have been on a bit of a fitness journey the past year and a half or so, and have tried a few different gadgets in that time. I've used a runstar scale for body fat calculations, even knowing they aren't 100% accurate, but at least good for tracking trends, and I've also had a cheaper smart ring, like a $30 or less find. However, I wanted to upgrade a bit, so recently invested in a Renpho smart scale. Not their most expensive model, but still a step up from what I had. Also I grabbed a tape measure from them. This is cool because it will save your measurements. I will be picking up their smart ring today.
What I can say about their app:
It is quite easy to read all data from the scale, go back and read measurements previously stored in the app, add devices, navigate most of the interface. What is not so easy, at least on the Android side, is making any kind of selection in screens to set height, weight, set weight/body fat goals, that kind of thing. Those controls are completely inaccessible to talkback. When using the describe screen feature, I can tell they are there, but can't use them. And, even when asking talkback where the controls are located, turning talkback off, and trying to touch around and see if I can do anything, once I turn talkback back on, I find that nothing was adjusted. So, controls on the android side aren't the most accessible for those particular screens.
Having said that, the times I will need to make said adjustments are few and far between. And, when it is needed, my sighted girlfriend is more than happy to help out, so no biggie.
I would love to see the accessibility improve, but for right now, it's good enough to make me want to keep investing in the renpho ecosystem.
What is also quite nice is that it will sync up with Samsung Health, Healthconnect, as well as Apple Health over on the iOS side. I had a play around with the Renpho Health app over on the iOS side, as I have an old iPhone 8 laying around, and controls on the iOS version are much more accessible, but using the iOS app to set goals and make those adjustments isn't always the best way to go, as it logs you out of the android version, and then you need to log back in. More fuss than it is worth.
But, I just wanted to let the community know about these devices, as they are reasonably user friendly. Quite nice on the iOS side, from the 5 minutes I spent in that app, and at least decent on Android. If you are looking to have more fitness data, not always have to wear the watch, and be able to track your progress, this brand offers some pretty good options. And, they were at least responsive when I left a review mentioning the accessibility improvements that are needed.

Coincidentally, I’ve just ordered some more RENPHO equipment I already had their fantastic Bluetooth body tape measure and Eyeris eye massager. I’ve now ordered the smart scales body analyser. I will of course give feedback elsewhere as I’m using iOS. It’s impressive how many metrics their devices cover. Using their tape measure you are able to measure pretty much every single body part and keep track of the results. I previously had the various Qardio devices which I loved but they’ve gone bust. Now it’s not possible to download the app or log into it making the devices useless to a blind person.

Well darn! Having more fitness gadgets that would sync up with that same app would be absolutely awesome.
I got the ring in, and really like it. A lot less chunky than the cheaper $30 one I tried first, and also syncs nicely with Amazon Health.
Had issues with workouts being duplicated with both my galaxy watch and ring sending data to samsung health, and of course due to differences in measurement, even the duplicates have wildly different stats. But, I have the watch sending hr, hrv, SpO, and sleep data, now no longer sending steps, distance, or exercise, so no wacky conflicting results there.

I’m watching this thread closely…:)

Yes, watch and ring were creating duplicate workouts. But, looking back at my previous comment, I realize I messed up, as I have the watch sending workout data now, and kept the Renpho app from sending the same. So, in their app, there will be some workout/step count data, which tends to be underestimated compared to the watch, but at least now, with the ring sending hr, hrv, SpO, and other readings, I still have that data even when not wearing the watch. Plus, even if I do wear the watch to sleep, it's kinda fun to see how each device records sleep metrics and all that fun stuff.
Out of the three devices, the ring is probably overkill since the watch can also handle pretty much all the same stats. Still glad I have it, as if nothing else, it's a little bit of functional bling. The scale though is really a great buy. Tape measure is probably the one I'll use the least, but also great for tracking my progress.
