Hi all,
So for those totally new to the Ally Solos glasses, I've now got them working, so here's some observations.
I couldn't seem to charge them at first. There are two ways of charging, connecting the magnetic USB cable provided in the box to the bottom of the left arm, or disconnecting each arm and charging them separately through USBC. I tried both of these methods. When connecting the magnetic charger, there isn't a beep sound to indicate the device is charging. You just have to wait. The power button is the round dot on the right arm. Provided both arms are locked in place correctly, as soon as you touch the power button, you'll hear a beep which means they're working. If the arms aren't quite locked into place, you won't hear any indication from the power button at all, and it means they're not working. The problem was I hadn't quite locked one of the arms into place. When you first open the glasses, one of the arms is disconnected from the glasses, and you have to reconnect it. That's what I hadn't done properly originally. There must have been a very slight gap between the arm and the frame. So after I tried charging both stems separately, and reconnected them, the power button beeped as soon as I touched it. So, if the power button doesn't beep as soon as you touch it, it means the stems aren't connected properly. Hope that helps newbies like myself. In short, I've got them working. I can talk to them, take a picture and get things described.

Hi,
I found this video. It is relatively blind friendly, and explains how to charge and power up your smart glasses. Enjoy.

re Brian great video
Hi Brian,
Yep, that video is great, and there's another one done by the same lady telling you about the dot for the power button. These videos eventually put me on the right track, so thanks for those.
Ally soul glasses touchpad for music?
Hi, it is not a typo on the subject. Soul is there on purpose as I talk about music.
Ally Glasses setup went smooth on my iPhone. Then, yes, I got stuck on the usage when the tutorial worked regularly but touch pad did not respond as requested.
Then I discovered that Ally works only if in foreground with phone unlocked. Is it a youth defect, is it a characteristic, I have no idea.
Now let's come to music:
In few words, it skips tracks back and forth with double and triple tap, but single tap for play-pause seems not to work for me.
Someone managed to figure it out? I have sensitivity set to 31, but I could increase, or decrease. That's very subjective, but I am really stuck now.
@Tara
Happy to help. I hope you get lots of enjoyment from your purchase. 🙂

Maybe turn up the sensitivity a little more for the touchpad? Also, you may want to consider exploring the application on your device, and see if there are any settings for adjusting the touch panel controls.
HTH.
regarding touch controls
I had the same issue of the touch controls working fine for the tutorial, and then not working when I tried using the glasses for real. But I reconnected the glasses and things started working fine. Can't help about music though.
