Capti Voice Has Been Pulled from the App Store

Hello everyone,
So I was sifting through reading apps to figure out which one I'd start using. I already use EasyReader and Bookshare Reader, as well as BARD Mobile and Libby, but I wanted something that would let you import PDF's and whatnot, at no cost.
I have VoiceDream, but if you are not a legacy user, you need to be on a subscription. So that's out of the box considering what I'm already paying for.
So I figured, wait a second. One app I used to use as a kid was Capti Voice. I wonder how that app is doing.
I search it up, nothing. Okay, that's fine. Probably have to get it from my own app history then.
No such luck. When I click on the app, it says it cannot open the page.
As far as I've seen, the website is still running, and there's a Capti Voice web app. So I'm not sure if they decided to go the web app route and kill the iOS app, or Apple pulled it due to its lack of updates.
What do you guys think about this?

Hello,
So I was finally able to download it, but I'm afraid it's broken in several areas. A lot of them say null, and attempts to make purchases are met with a network error.
So basically, it's only usable for the simplest of things, it seems like.

It’s always sad when a really well loved app is pulled from the App Store or not working properly like this one. I have never used it, but I could understand why people would be disappointed or upset about that. Especially if it was something that was really beneficial for reading. I really don’t do much reading at all on my phone really other than browsing website like this. The only audiobook reading I ever do is really just a whole separate talking book player from my library for the blind in Connecticut and any books on the actual CDs that I still have because yes, I still buy CDs. I still have some audiobooks on CDs as well. If I were going to do any reading it all on my phone I would honestly probably just use the native books app and have Voice ever read me the books because I think Voice would be such a great book reader. I think either of the two voices that I use either Karen or Kait would be great book readers. I actually just switched my iPhone SE to regular Kait. I found her inflection to be a bit more even when reading. The same thing holds true for any of the default voices. Tend to be more natural inflection in those voices. The enhancement premium voices always put inflection in really unnatural places. It’s like they attempted to be expressive is more unnatural if they just stayed on expressive like their default variant. Although I’m really happy that Apple remove the default label for the voices and iOS 16 so now they’re just whatever name Voice is and then when you want higher quality of voice, it says whatever voice with the enhanced your premium on it and then the one that’s just the regular Voice is just their name. I just find out so much better. So right now my iPhone SE is in Kait and that’s actually how I’m posting my comment now is with this iPhone SE third generation. I hope this Apple work for somebody if they choose to use it. Hopefully it will get updated for iOS 26 when that comes out. Did you try deleting the app and then reinstalling it so maybe whatever you did find that was broken may be fixed that way? The other thing you can try is like coming out of the app with the app switcher and then going back into it or you could even try restarting your phone. I have tried. The app wasn’t functioning correctly. I hope this helps.
