Hi all.
Debated about posting this in hardware but it really seems like an OS question. I just got an Apple Magic keyboard. If I go into system settings/Bluetooth, I can see the battery percentage just beyond the status that tells you it's connected.
Is there a faster way to get this info? I thought it might be in the status menu, but nope. It also doesn't appear to be in Control Center. I guess the charge is supposed to last long enough that I could just check every couple of weeks or something, but it would be nice to have faster access to it.

Don't need to check
Once the battery runs low enough, macOS will just alert you so you don't need to constantly check. That said I always run my Apple keyboards wired.
Battery widget
Have you tried checking the battery widget.
Personally don't use this keyboard but with my experience using Apple first party products pretty sure that it will be there.
Re: Widget.
I have neither been able to see what's in the widgets, nor figure out how to add them to the desktop. The guide on here is for an older version of Mac OS and I have no idea what the new procedure is.
