Hello community members
I noticed an interesting behaviour of the eloquence voice introduced by Apple in iOS 16 no idea when did it become available for Mac.
I am mainly using this voice on my Mac with VO.
The eloquent voice is reading specific acronyms as US states such as
NY as New York
SD as South Dakota
FL as Florida
AK as Alaska
You get the idea.
I was just wondering anyway of disabling it so that it doesn't refer to those acronyms as US states as it can cause a lot of confusion.

I personally don't mind this feature, but I see how it could be annoying, considering that eloquence might say that micro South Dakota cards exist, Florida studio is a music software, or Wisconsin-fi networks are available, etc.

You can turn off the abbreviation dictionary as described above if you wish for this behavior to be stopped.

Thank you both for helping out.
Yes it was getting annoying when it keeps reading sd card as south Dakota card
Will change the settings soon

I don't have it off. However, this is what I like about the way Apple did Eloquence: you, the user, have the choice. I love the community dictionary and
have it on. Others may not want it again, you have the choice.
