when opening the game for the first time, I suggest going to options and decreasing the music volume, it starts at 50 percent. I would also recommend disabling character animations to save battery and setting the score animation speed to 4 x for faster gameplay.
Starting a new game:
Since all of the decks, difficulty levels and challenges are locked for now, we will either start at base difficulty level and the first deck, or start a ranked game.
Standard game:
In the level select screen your screen reader will announce the needed score for your current level. you can either fight or use the detour to skip the fight and activate its effect. You must always consider what's better for your current situation, number of jokers and consumables, score needed to advance, etc.
When you choose a fight and the round starts, I strongly recommend using the explore by touch to find what you want instead of flicking left and right with one finger. I'm saying that because if you prefer to flick left and right to move, the cards aren't going to be sorted in order, no matter if you sort them by suit or rank. if you explore the screen dragging the finger and learning where everything is located you will be able to sort the cards properly.
at the middle of the screen, it will announce how many hands you have left for the current round. at the bottom left is the discard button and at the bottom right i's the play button.
Once you have selected a card, the screen reader will announce if the card is selected. touching the play button before playing the hand will announce the hand type, and touching the middle of the screen will also tell you the score calculation based on your planet level.
When you play a hand, The screen reader will announce exactly the number of scored chips.
you will also find the deck and planet buttons, which display information about your most played hands, values of each hand, current deck, etc.
when you beat the level, you will be taken to the shop. you can buy jokers and other card packs as well as vouchers.
I'll explain about how to rearrange the jokers, this is really important and you will need learn how to do it to be successful in the game.
Let's say that you have two jokers: convenient and arrogant.
the arrogant one gives plus 3 mult if you play club cards, while the convenient joker increases the X mult if all played cards are scored.
so we will move the arrogant one to the left, by exploring the top of the screen and finding it, double tap the joker, then find the joker card sorting button. double tap it. in the next screen you will be able to explore to find your jokers, double tap and hold the joker you want to move, then drag the joker where you want and after releasing the finger, you can either explore by touch to see if the move was successful, or use the one finger flick left and right to see if they are in the right order. if they aren't, just try again. once everything is in the right place, just press return.
Please not: you won't get speech feedback while moving the jokers, but It's definitely doable.
When opening a card pack, such as a tarot pack for example, you will get a number of special cards to use, as well as a hand of cards. this time, your hand is located upper than the usual place, and the screen reader won't tell you when you select a card, but it will still be selected and you will still be able to use the tarot, spectral cards properly, it just won't say selected. this is still being worked on and should be improved for the next update.
sorting the cards:
Let's say that you found the death tarot card in the shop and want to use it, but you need to move a card to the left in order for it to be useful.
use the same explore by touch method to find the two cards that you want to replace the positions, double tap them, and you will find an unlabeled button that the screen reader might identify it as a back button. this button is located above your first card, at the top left. if the move was successful, you will hear a sound effect, and will be able to select the cards again to use with the death tarot.
Ranked game:
In this mode, you will start in the shop with 12 coins. you will have 5 hp available, and if you score less than your opponent you lose one life. lose all of them and it's over. this mode is really fun and addicting! you can even check the opponent's inventory before starting a round, so you can have an idea if you will be able to beat it. I suggest playing the standard mode first to play the tutorial and get a feel for the game.
